The last good Nancy Drew game that HeR ever made, and thank god because this is my favorite one of all. The setting is gorgeous, the music makes me teary-eyed every time, the characters are complex and loveable, the puzzles are fun, I could go on and on. It's really such a shame that the entire team was fired after this game because they were really on a roll with the games leading up to SEA. I'm not sure why the switch-up was made -- maybe a desperate grab for cash or appealing to younger audiences. Sadly ND's core audience has clearly been lost in the aftermath. I will forever treasure SEA for the masterpiece that it is and probably would have been okay with it being the final title in the series. "My love still lies there buried under silent ice in sleep; a grave left unattended by the word I couldn't keep."
Unless and until HeR gets their act together, I think of this as the last true ND game. Such a high note to go out on though for the series.

Very entertaining, and the puzzles make sense unlike some other games. I didn't pick up Nancy Drew games until my mid 20's, so I can say it's fun as an adult with no nostalgia connection
This game reminded me i'm dumb 10/10
I am what they call a Nancy Drew fan. The last playable game from HER imo.
northern lights in iceland = impeccable vibes. great game, end of an era <3
HER really peaked with the characters & dialogue in this one. [*] "Sharp things. Nothing says 'I love you' like a new murder tool!" - Soren [*] "Am I a lonely little man sittin' in the pub cryin' over a tiny plate of pretty biscuits tinkin' about all the women I've ever lost and writin' it all down in some wimpy little notebook? No! Then I would be..... Magnus." - Gunnar [*] "I wanna believe the best here, but..." - Nancy // "You should stop doing that; people like me don't deserve that...
Very happy Nancy forgot about her anniversary and went to Iceland instead.
Also, the music is phenomenal and Thomas Regin is my point and click puzzle-adventure game OST GOAT.
So fun to play with my GF
The last ND game with the original voice actress, Lani Minella-- what a beautiful send off! Be sure to keep the screen open on the end credits, the song is 1000% worth it.
The voice acting and script is bad compared to the older Nancy Drew series. I just find everyone so cringe. Also none of the characters are charming enough to be even a bit likable. They all hate Nancy. She says so herself when she calls Ned in the game! Bess and George, and the Hardy Boys don't make any appearances in the game with any useful hints or polite conversation. Ned pretty much is useless, too. They removed the hint voice over scripts from Nancy's friends probably because of budgetary constraints. You feel completely alone in this game. The mini games are also dull and lazily developed. Cooking in the kitchen is literally a puzzle game now. Where are the cooking features? None of the puzzles are fun to play anymore. I had to use the walkthrough the entire time I was playing.
