A wonderful hidden gem of a game! A blend of puzzle/RPG, but without the tedious grinding that other RPGs out there would have you do to progress the game. The combat system is turn based, only attacking the enemy in front (with the exception of multi-target attacks), with some strategy thrown in. You don't buy the bulk of your weapons or spells and instead you collect more skill attacks and spells through the art of studying and stealing from the enemies you come across. The puzzles are challenging and while there were a smidgen of times I had to step away for a minute, then come back with fresh eyes, it never felt like it bogged down the gameplay for me. I especially enjoyed the use of early game puzzle elements that you end up coming across in later levels mixed in with new elements. The world, it's citizens, and the story are all so intriguing that it kept me invested and wanting to learn more as I progressed. The NPCs have unique dialogue depending on what character talks to them. There is even a side quest where you collect photographs of flowers that made backtracking through areas a fun scavenger hunt. Overall, I really enjoyed playing this game and was so pleased with it that I had to leave a review.

Its a very good game and more people should play it.
Kinda boring, mane..
I love it. Probably one of the better rpgmaker-type games to come out in the last while. I really enjoy the puzzle like battles that don't overstay their welcomes.
A interesting take on the RPG genre that wears its Game Boy roots very well. The Color choices are a breath of fresh air to the saturated multicolored views most games go for further showing it's handheld roots by liomited a select few shades. The battle system is an interesting take on the realtime battle systems used in a majority of RPGs nowadays by having simplified attack choices on all three MCs at once until their attacks are charged and you can switch them around to pick the opponent to attack or dodge. The soundtrack is spot on for the authentic sound and has a unique sound to the NES styled OST. My only gripe is that if one MC goes down you lose and you restart at last autosave or checkpoint which only sets you back at the beginning of the room you entered which isnt bad if you arent viewing the same dialogue cutscene.
Exciting combat and clever puzzles. This quickly became one of my favorite JRPGs.
Just finished it and have to say that the game is actually pretty good, gameplay and characters are interesting and you get attached to them, the game is not that long and the story is captivating with some amazing dialogues and a good and simple message. I really enjoyed it so I hope more ppl can give this game a chance! :P
An interesting story with a satisfying conclusion that departs from the usual "the chosen kids save the world" tropes combined with great puzzle design makes this a solid recommendation. Combat was an interesting novelty, fortunately for the game there's no random encounters and grinding to do because the novelty wore thin fast due to the amount of micromanaging needed. I ended up switching to half speed simply because I couldn't keep up with managing all the lane positions and skill selections and hit point healings fast enough to keep everyone alive. Fortunately saving is automatic and losing in battle just means restarting the room you are in. One thing to note about the combat is that compared to a lot of other RPGs (most) debuffs *matter* (except Sleep, which ends after a few seconds whether hit or not). It may not be Shin Megami Tensei where you will die without them, but if you don't apply them and manage them, you *will* have a harder time in battle. Speaking of solving puzzles, they range from fairly basic to brow-furrowing, but for nearly all of the cases you can see the end goal you need to achieve, and work backwards to figure out how to get there. I may have needed a few attempts to find out what doesn't work (or to find which bush the rock you need to push is hidden under) but I never needed to refer to a walkthrough to solve a puzzle for me. Once you solve the puzzle, most have a bypass you can open at the end that will remain permanently open even when the room is reset (larger ones in the end game may have separate "stages" like this. To get 100% you will need to backtrack as you get new abilities to solve puzzles in earlier maps but the lack of random encounters prevents this from becoming a drag. The developer most recently updated the game in the Summer of 2020 and a lot of the quality of life things mentioned in some of these reviews from years ago seem to have been fixed (for instance, the D-pad worked just fine on my F310 in XInput mode). I did hit a few bugs, mostly due to using skills in places or ways the dev didn't expect, but none of them crashed or otherwise broke the game, and the "reset the room" skill works even after riding a lily pad through the wall if you manage to line one up with an obstruction preventing you from docking on land.
