Mythic Kart Maker

Seems like a really cool idea but my gut says this is a pump and dump and the dev is posting copyrighted material in workshop which is crazy work. The track editor is very basic and there are no real explanations of custom assets other than music and that does not work. Going to be refunding this one .

This game had a lot of potential, but then the dev decided to do stuff that has made me hesitate to support the game further. First, when someone took issue with the use of AI to assist the dev, which I'm a little mixed on. He doesn't use generative AI just to help assist him, what I do take issue with is his response about it on Twitter, telling the person "Good riddance." Which honestly, was kinda a rude response. Second, I find out that apparently he was part of an anti-DEI group, and well I just... Can't support someone in one of those groups. I really don't enjoy people attacking others over politics, and I really don't trust people in groups such as those. Finally, the fact that the recent update added in a YouTuber who makes ragebait and creates thumbnails with generative AI. It's incredibly disappointing and I just can't go on supporting someone who have someone like that for this game. I'm not angry at the dev, just extremely disappointed. This was such a cool game, but all these things he did just makes me not want to support this game further.

High potential, fun kart maker. karting is super fun, and very responsive. It's an incredibly smooth to create a map, and pretty intuitive. Something I'd love to see: Online multiplayer & creating your own "cups", like a collection of maps you race on to see who is the best!! Awesome work man, keep it up!

Hey, remember ModNation Racers? This is that, but better. Oh yeah, and the player-created content and online play should just about last until the heat death of the universe, instead of some arbitrary end date, so that's cool too!

Who remembers the map editor in Timesplitters 2? Spending ages making the wackiest layouts you could think of? This is that but for Kart Racing. Graphically it's somewhere between the original Super Mario Kart & Mario Kart 64, a very pleasing aesthetic, and the controls are tight & responsive, driving is very satisfying! Battle mode is great fun, exactly like the kart racers of yore, except here with Workshop mods we have Sonic, Spongebob, the Sunflower from PvZ & more throwing boomerangs at each other. I've also installed & played this on 3 Android handhelds (AYN Odin 2 Portal, Retroid Pocket 5 & Retroid Pocket Mini v2) via the Gamenative app and it runs buttery smooth on all 3 making it a great portable game too! Hopefully online multiplayer will be added soon, and the ability to make caves/tunnels/bridges on tracks too! All in all, this is the best Kart Racer on Steam, with endless replayability & new character potential thanks to workshop support. Someone smarter than me make Gus' Cab from Crazy Taxi please!
