It's a spectacular game, but there's one huge problem. Steam players can't add mobile players as friends, view their islands, etc. I can't even sync my account, which is the most annoying. all i want to do is play on my computer, and then get off and play on my Ipad. it is probably the stupidest, most unnecessary thing you could have possibly done. all the top islands are garbage because even though i prefer it on computer, other people, along with thousands of other players and my friends and family either don't or can't. i can't add any of my friends or family. I wasted so much time on my stupid island and i'm probably just gonna make a new account on my Ipad because this is so annoying. Even some of the worse online games on steam can do this. That being said, i absolutely love the character and music design. i love collecting all the unique monsters and trying to complete and decorate islands. Alcordian and other special monsters are also overpriced. My singing monsters has my heart and my childhood. I still love it.

My Singing Monsters is a free to play collection game where we breed monsters, feed them and build islands around them. The main idea is that every monster makes its own sound, so when we put different monsters together they create a full song. It sounds like a simple idea, but the music is what makes the game much more enjoyable than a normal collecting game. The music is easily the strongest part for us. Each monster adds something different, whether it is singing, drums, sounds or another instrument, and adding a new monster can completely change how an island sounds. Some of the songs are genuinely catchy, and we can spend quite a lot of time just listening to an island after getting the right combination of monsters. The breeding system is also a big part of the fun. We can combine monsters to try and get new ones, with rarer monsters taking more effort and better planning. We also have to feed our monsters to level them up, which helps with the progression while giving us another reason to keep collecting food and resources. There is a huge amount of content as well. The game currently has more than 500 monsters and over 35 islands, with each island having its own group of monsters and music. We can also decorate the islands, change how everything looks and collect costumes for our monsters. There is a lot here for us to work towards, especially once we start trying to collect the rarer creatures. The game is also very relaxing. We can check our islands, collect coins, breed monsters and make a few changes before leaving again. It works really well as something we play for a few minutes at a time, although there are plenty of longer goals for us to work towards if we want to get more involved. The biggest problem is the waiting. Breeding and hatching can take a long time, and some of the rarer monsters can take a lot of attempts before we finally get them. The game also has in game purchases, so the slower parts can make us tempted to spend money to speed things up. It is completely possible to play without paying, but the free to play design is definitely noticeable. The amount of content can also become a little overwhelming. Once we unlock more islands, monsters, currencies and features, there is a lot to keep track of. The basic game is very easy to understand, but trying to make the most efficient progress or collect everything can become much more complicated. Overall, My Singing Monsters is a really good collection game with an idea that genuinely makes it stand out. The music system is the reason we keep coming back, while the huge amount of monsters, islands and decorations gives us plenty to work towards. The waiting and free to play mechanics stop it from being perfect, but the core idea is so enjoyable that it still ends up being one of the better games in this style. Rating: 8/10

The Gameplay loop is excellent, the game has a great reward system, adding a new piece to your song every time you get a new monster feels rewarding. It has a good community, and the game is massive with many different islands, and mechanics. In conclusion, it is an excellent game with a variety of entertaining mechanics, leaving me to come back for more. 10/10
