If the notes made sense with the music this would be epic. But it's not, so when I try to follow the actual rhythm I don't hit perfects and my accuracy is garbage. This takes out the fun, as it then doesn't feel like I am playing a rhythm game but just hitting on screen prompts that are random. I did calibrate, but it's not the calibration at fault. The patterns just aren't very good. If this game was as good at it as some auto generated rhythm games I've played this game would be a dream. It's free though and better than expected for a free game. I really hope the dev continues to improve this game. I have high hopes cuz there's tons of potential!
js add a custom level builder gng edit: they actually added it, thank you

everything is just algorythm turning songs into keys, not fitting the songs at all.
Terrible charting, AI slop, and Brainrot. Skip this garbage.
I've played Frets on Fire, FoFix, and Phase Shift for years, using user-created song maps, and I've also created many songs myself, back then just by clicking. After a quick keyboard calibration, the game is very smooth, and when I import my own songs, the key notes are set right away. What bothers me is that solos aren't included, meaning you're basically only playing the rhythm part, which is a bit boring. It somehow lacks a challenge. I set the assignments as follows: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. Strangely, in-game, I only get everything from 2, 3, 4, 5 onwards. It's a bug; I haven't figured out why yet. Also, the import folder could stay saved and not constantly reset to the local music folder; all that clicking around is kind of annoying. The bulk import sounded nice at first, but it seems to only work for pre-made songs, so you can't just add a bunch of new music and then you're done. The difficulty levels were a disappointment. I thought if I switched to Extreme, more notes, or more subtle notes, would be generated for the song, but in reality, the notes just have to be played much faster, so difficulty equals speed, which is crap. I think the game has potential, but it still needs some fine-tuning in a few areas. For example, pressing an additional key to suggest a note being played, a vibrato effect, awesome animations when reaching a high multiplier to increase the adrenaline rush, Steam achievements, a workshop with mods, importing certain song files (this shouldn't be a problem, especially with AI-generated music), and the ability to download songs rated by popularity directly from the main game. Just relaxing after work and practicing difficult songs until you've mastered them is pure relaxation. I'll check back later to see if anything has changed.
Just play Osu! mania instead
for a free game we can't complain
This is the goat game. I am loving playing it at home and I will start grinding it at school when school holidays are over. It's really hard tho, I reomend playing the fnaf 2 one because you have to decide wheather you want to revenge them or avenege them. This is a hidden gem made by a highschooler I am his secret biological father that he doesn't know about. Thank you for making this beutiful gem of a game and lettting me play it every day till my fingers fall off. I have so far beat only hard levels on 4 lanes and not won anything that is expert. Anyways keep up the good work son, I am playing to meet you in a few years! I have been wathcing you like how Obi wan neobi watches luke skywalker. My address is 54 citizons court.
