Ms. Holmes: The Adventure of the McKirk Ritual Collector's Edition

I enjoyed the game. The puzzles were varied and less frustrating they used to be in the past games. Of course some of them are still somewhat redundant but overall the puzzle aspect was better this time around. The story was worse though but I guess it was unexpected so I was entertained enough for the playthrough to be worth finishing. I wish I had gotten the game on sale because as much as the gaming aspect was better, the story was so frustrating for me I didn't really care for it. I also miss the morphing objects collectibles! Now the rest of my complaints are spoiler heavy so read at your own risk. Of course, I have certain gripes with the logistics of the story. Like how the police completely let Holmes off the hook for reasonably making her the first and only suspect, is beyond ridiculous for me. She could've easily been McKirks killer in the police's eyes, or seen as being in cahoots with the real killer just based on the evidence uncovered. The whole ghost thing is never really explained either. How was the ghost effect done? There's no real explanation besides the luminous paint Kathleen makes. Is she in on it too? Shouldn't there have been a costume or something, like the Baskerville hound? Ms. Holmes sees the ghost firsthand on several occasions! Is the implication that Sandra is the ghost...? But why the paint then? Also first time i played I was VERY confused when Walter brought up a Sarah out of nowhere. Now after playing more, I realized the devs messed up and wrote the wrong name for Sandra both in the subtitles and the script for the voiceactors lol. Now as someone in the Deaf community, the inclusion of a deaf and signing character was nice albeit his cameo was short and only in the bonus chapter. I hope he comes around more! The notes passing back and forth, and actually using correct sign language in accordance with the country the story is set in was also nice. I wish Ms. Holmes knew sign language but I guess the style and animation probably limits the accuracy of it haha.
