About
MotionRec is a recording-based puzzle action game built around the concept of recording and playback. Use this ability to guide Rec, the civilization-recording robot, through a devastated world.
You can record the trajectory of your movements, from walking to jumping. Use stage gimmicks to create and record more complex movements to traverse the world.
Record your movements...
...and play them back in another location!
This will let you reach places too high to jump up to, or even access spots where there's nothing to stand on. You can only play back your movements a certain number of times midair, however, and this is refreshed every time you land on the ground.
Make good use of the MotionRec ability to unravel the mysteries behind this devastated world ruled by machines!

Insanely underrated little puzzle game 10/10
Fantastic game from bottom to top. Most importantly to me, the puzzles are great. They are very satisfying to solve, tricky without feeling like brain busters, and a good sequence of new mechanics and difficulty ramp. Besides the puzzles, the game has great atmosphere enhanced with beautiful (mostly) 2 bit graphics. Some really stunning backgrounds created with just black and white pixels. There is a charming main character and lots of world building through the level design. The end feels very fitting and wraps the "story" as much as there is nicely. I love the way the puzzle design encourages exploration. At first the levels and puzzles seem fairly straightforward, but I quickly discovered there is a beaten path and an off the beaten path, and exploring everywhere was rewarding and entertaining. I was pretty shocked I hadn't heard more about this game as a puzzle game fan. It really has it all and is such as solid package. Definitely play it if you're into puzzle games, especially ones with exploration, secrets, and some story.

Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.71/day in the week to Jul 24 → 0.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This is a delightful little puzzle game with a really solid grasp on one key mechanic that was lots of fun to figure out. The presentation and mood are also top-notch
Lots of heart in this game. Great use of minimal palette and lots of devious puzzles to keep you going. I really appreciate being able to 100% the achievements without having to solve every area 100%. I feel the game only needs a little interesting twist with what you might be able to do if you get the last collectable, some kind of only-if-you-have-this extra puzzle. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the game.
Incredibly beautiful. It manages to be devastatingly emotional even with the simple graphics. The puzzles are also well built, and I only felt like I was stuck on a small handful. This game definitely is one of my new favorites.
pretty simple puzzles but still very satifying to solve. except when i was being stupid but that only happened like twice
THAT ENDING THO, peak short puzzle game, i love little robot guys
Extremely under-rated indie game. Its short, but very worth buying.
Really fun game, took about 5 hours to get all music notes. One thing that would have been fun is some really difficult puzzels.
8.5/10 小体量的平台解谜游戏,与同年的Ooo有相似之处,流畅的心流体验,收集的巧思,难度与趣味的平衡恰到好处,是一个非常完整的甜品游戏
