Pretty good so far!
Honestly a fun game to play or just chill on. Not too simple, not too hard. A lot of the content involves doing dungeons and PvP focused activities. PvP is forced the higher you get generally, especially with the recent push for more PvP areas. (Red maps.) Games like these (since 2004 just about) often bring about some pretty nasty folks who whine over just about anything. I can say the admins who run the game haven't gone out of their way to ban people just because someone made "harmless jokes" Its typically asshats being asshats who are deserving of punishment of some sort. You have people age 20+ who act no better than the 15 year olds who often play this game at school. This game started with using Odyssey Online/classic as a base and has taken its own direction. Many Odyssey online servers were Open source even. I'm not sure where this "Steals content" from other series and "refuses to credit artists" bit comes from, all i can say is that its wrong. Games like these have existed for years. Mirage Source is absolutely a thing and they all use the same if not similar art sprites/tiles etc. Do not be afraid to try this game out. Its honestly good (also free) and we would love to have more people play it. There's a tiny bit of learning curve but once you get the hang of it, its alright.

I had the pleasure of playing an MMORPG that brought me back to the nostalgic 90s, and I must say, it was a fantastic experience. It is one of the easiest MMORPGs to log in and start playing. The game's interface is intuitive and user-friendly, making it easy for players to navigate their way around the virtual world. The graphics in MOC are intentionally designed to evoke the feel of the 90s, with pixelated characters and landscapes. This design choice adds to the overall sense of nostalgia that the game inspires. One of the standout features of MOC is the community. The game's servers are filled with friendly players who are always eager to help new players get started. The sense of camaraderie is something that is often lacking in modern MMORPGs, and it is a refreshing change of pace. Another impressive aspect is the sheer size of the game world. There are dozens of different regions to explore, each with its own unique monsters and challenges. Players can spend hours exploring the vast world of MOC and still have more to discover. In terms of gameplay, it is a traditional MMORPG, with quests, dungeons, and raids to complete. However, the game's simplicity makes it accessible to players of all skill levels. Even players who have never played an MMORPG before will find MOC easy to pick up and enjoy. Overall, I highly recommend this game to anyone looking for a nostalgic MMORPG experience. With its charming graphics, friendly community, and accessible gameplay, MOC is a standout title in the crowded MMORPG market.
Wasn't really for me.
There's just not very much going on here. You have a basic attack button and a single skill button and that's it.
No achievements is a really big killer for me personally since they'd be so easy to add to this game. Will update as I get more time in though. So far just not really enjoying it much with no proper direction and such a small community. The animations are nice, the movement is a little clunky but interesting since I can traverse water and land. Lots of skills, but not sure how to interact with them quite yet.
nice
Ragequit for falling on my face multiple times in a row. Have to wait five seconds every time. Annoying mechanic.
Before I played Mirage Online Classic, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good

Warning: Third Party Account This game requires you to create a third party "Mirage Online Classic" account and/or hand over connections and personal data through Facebook/Google... there's no valid reason for this in a PC game when SteamWorks is available. This is often done to harvest private data and profile you, with potential sale and transmission of your private data to third parties. The developers will probably argue that you can trust them, but if they were trustworthy they wouldn't demand you create a third party account. This represents a considerable risk to gamers due to the privacy and security implications of developers that wish to bypass Steam and harvest user data. Remember, sometimes if the product is free, YOU are the product.

Warning: Microtransaction infested browser game! This game is infested with a toxic mobile app style cash shop. You will be prompted to and expected to give money to the developers through this cash shop to buy in-game goods so you can play the game.
"Mirage Online Classic" is one of thousands of nasty browser games infesting the "free" section of Steam, but it's not really free, and it's not really a PC game... this is a glorified webpage. It's worth qualifying the "microtransaction" element here... the developer claims there are no microtransactions but the Steam store page clearly indicates the developer declaring the game has in-app purchases. Both cannot be true, the developer claims both, and thus the developer is lying. Whenever developers lie about monetization in a for-profit game, this is utterly misleading to gamers and is totally harmful. You're also expected to give money to the developer through Patreon, and may suffer in-game harm through developer abuse if you do not. This is the exhumed and still dead corpse of an ancient browser game called Mirage Online, a pixelcrap disaster where the only thing that exceeded the toxicity of the community is the toxicity of the power tipping game admins. Pretending to be a weak ripoff of Ultima Online only somehow with worse graphics, this attempted corpse re-animation was a complete disaster and it's now totally dead. There's only a superficial "game" here. The game visuals and the game itself are incredibly shallow... think of them as the cabinet dress theme on a poker machine at the casino. That's basically what this is. So really, this webpage is just a veneer wrapped around a nasty, predatory mobile app-like real money transaction cash shop. Setting the predatory mobile monetization aside, this is a shallow browser game, not a PC game. I didn't pay thousands for a serious gaming rig to use it to browse websites, and you shouldn't either... We're here for real PC games, not mobile apps, not browser games. This game is fairly dated at 7 years old... and even back then it looked old and busted compared to contemporary, professionally made 3D games of the same period. It looked bad then, it looks worse now. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. This is "free" enough (not every "free" game in the "free" section is truly free, there's usually some hidden price tag), at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good, and the cost of a game is more than just financial, your time is valuable too. Even as a free game, this couldn't find an audience. With a peak of only 14 players, it's clear the Steam community took one look and walked away. They literally couldn't pay people to spend time playing this. Given that this free game won't increase your game collector count, is it worth your time to add it to your library? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough. Remember what I often say... if you don't agree with what I've said about this game, by all means add it to your library and play it. My review is just here to inform your decision, and if you think I was wrong and you downloaded the game, then I've done what I really wanted to do... inform your decision.
