Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Sep 1 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

honestly never felt so ripped off by a game before. i expected the cats to be mininge, but the most i ever see is maybe one cat climbing down a ladder after clearing a stage. most of the time they're just sitting up on a little gaming ledge, and they're also very small and hard to see if you don't play in fullscreen mode. the developers at minicactus games know there's a shortage of games about cats engaging in activities such as mininge or fishinge and they have taken advantage of it by releasing this misleading product.

💜 This game was gifted to Catizens Curations for review. For me this game seemed like it was made really easy, fast to play and not much thought went into the puzzles. It was really mindless use of my cursor, taking lines from one spot to the other. Some levels did need me to think a bit, but it was very rarely. I do really like the other games from this dev, so I recommend those more than this one :) Though I still think if you want a quick game to 100%, this can be done in just under a few hours.
Alright, so I'll start with the fact that I do really like this type of puzzle game. I enjoy the casualness of Mining Cats and the music is chill and works well. The reason I'm giving it a negative review is solely because of the screen shake that happens upon drawing demolition lines, as it is super nauseating and unable to be turned off. I wouldn't mind it if you could draw the lines first then hit a "demolish" button and set it all off at once, but the screen shake whilst placing each line is just too much. I usually finish a game before posting a review, but I can only play this game in short spurts before I get queasy so I'm not sure if/when I'll finish it. I don't normally get motion sick from games so it's an oddity for me to have an experience like this, especially with such a casual game. It's certainly a bit disappointing and frustrating.
Played on the phone while doing others things and was perfect, but played a few on the pc and it was imposible for my eyes due to the explosions of the barrels. Game has not gradually difficulty and it's quite easy. Half, half. 5/10 Edit: after finishing, I must add that it is much better to play it on phone via Steam Link than on PC, so much better
Warning: Asset Flip!
Mining Cats is a Unity Asset flip, what Valve calls a "fake game". The "developer", Minicactus Games, took the J Connect Kit Unity Store tutorial/demo/game asset pack from the real developers, Jun, changed the name, and dumped the result onto Steam. They're attempting to scam people into buying this, so they can get your money for someone else's work. It's worth noting that the "developer" took some time to dump a low poly skin on the game so they could make a cash grab out of this on the mobile app stores. That's right, this is a mobile app. And of course they've dumped it on Steam too. Why pass off someone else's work as your own on one platform when you can do it on several? In line with this, the developer fails to credit Jun for the game they ripped off. Taking the work of others and pretending it's your own (failing to credit the actual game developer) is highly unethical. "J Connect Kit" has also been shamelessly dumped on Steam by other asset flippers apart from Minicactus Games:

"Connect the Dots 3D", asset flipped by beans rolls/Simple Logic Games
Take a look for yourself... while the appearance is different due to the skin applied to this game, at the core, it's exactly the same game! The products that result from asset flips aren't "real" games. They lack depth and content, because they're just simplistic copies of demos or tutorials. In this case, "J Connect Kit" is just a simple isometric minimalist mobile app node traversal puzzle template, and doesn't have any merit as a proper, fully fledged PC game, so a copy+paste+reskin of it can't be recommended. Asset flips don't involve any professional game development. Sure, sometimes they may change a few cosmetic things, swap out different assets etc, but at heart it's functionally identical to the asset they're ripping off. Asset flips like this are harmful to the gaming industry and to Steam because they reduce the visibility that sincerely made indie games should have, and make it harder for gamers to find real games from genuine developers. Don't reward this morally bankrupt, unethical behaviour from Minicactus Games.
The screen shake and explosions on every level as you do any connection... is the worst design choice in the world. No option to turn this off making it quite unplayable.
