Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.11/day in the week to Aug 4 → 18.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Embark on a thrilling sci-fi journey in a futuristic Asian city with MINDS BENEATH US. In a society fully automated by advanced AI, you find yourself trapped in a foreign body, alongside the subconscious of its original owner.
As society evolves, a new industry emerges that replaces the hardware needed to operate AI-automated systems with human brains. Consequently, the most disadvantaged citizens have had no choice but to sign up one after another. Against the backdrop of this mad society, a conspiracy gradually unfolds.
Players can make their own dialogue choices and shape the relationships between characters throughout the journey. The combination of dialogue choices and actions will continually affect the story.
Observe environments, pay attention to the dialogue, and then look for hidden clues in every scene. This way, you can even unlock new dialogue choices.
With hand-drawn animation and smooth camera movement, a unique cinematic experience is created.
The game combines 2D characters and detailed 3D environments to present the streets of a near-future Taipei.

Reviews
I absolutely loved this game. Enjoyed every minute of the gameplay.
As a long-time fan of interactive fiction, Minds Beneath Us stands a cut above the rest. Compelling visuals, and real moral dilemmas presented via a well-paced series of choices and actions draw you in and make you think. With no option to reload past saves, and often only a limited amount of time to make the choice in front of you, you feel the pressure to decide and, in a world colored by shades of gray, often are left to wonder if you chose the 'correct' path for you.

Absolutely life-changing experience. A visual novel where you make choices and watch the events unfold, showing what our society could look like in a few decades. These choices might seem insignificant at first, but sooner or later you see the results of your actions, whether it's something small like a character liking you more or less, or something major that changes how the story develops later on. The characters in this game all have their own problems, and as the story progresses, you watch them grow and develop. Many times, you realize that you've formed an opinion of someone based only on what you've heard about them, but when you finally meet them and hear their side of the story, you discover that things aren't as one-sided as they seemed. The game allows you to form your own opinions and decide what you want to stand for, but it constantly throws situations at you that challenge those beliefs. It's up to you whether you stick to your ideals or completely change them. Many times, you'll feel confused and betrayed, unsure of who to trust as you try to navigate your relationships while the story continues to throw even more challenges your way. Overall, I really enjoyed this game. The story is incredibly gripping, and by the end, I felt slightly empty that it's all over. Either way, It's one of the best story-driven games I've ever played.
Lovely art style, a lot of text, I think its generally good writing and an interesting story. Nothing is really bad or good either, choices seem to matter (not sure if they really do). Doing "the right" thing might be painful. Characters have some development and some depth. I really enjoyed this game after several AAA titles left me unstatisfied lately.
Minds Beneath Us is, by far, the best sci-fi visual novel I've played. The thrilling plot and the dialogue depth constantly forces you to think about how morality and its consequences shape each one of us, and the world we exist; that the truth is beyond loyalty or betrayal. Ultimately, the duality of things, right or wrong, good or evil, they're just one side of reality, and without morality there is no necessary evil or unnecessary goodness. Philosophic intakes of utilitarianism and consequentialism are strong in this story; such idealisms are beautifully integrated with a dystopian thriller, that makes you wonder what's really going on, until the very end! In the later chapters, the story also focus on stoicism ideals, which in my view are rather timeless and very fitting of our present times. "It does look like the world is on a downward spiral, no matter what we do... But in the end, it's always better to choose to lose a battle, so that you do not lose the war." - Situ This is definitely a hidden indie gem in the gaming world. If you find it, make sure to give it a try, you won't regret it :)
