Game core is fun but absolutly p2w, 90% broken cards 10% strategy
Okay, But still a Temu version of Magic Gathering!!!
For month or so I played this game I was simply logging in through Steam. Now its forcing me to create Ubisoft account to log in, and wants me to link it to my Steam account. No thanks. As s it is, game is utter garbage compared to MTGA, or Hearthstone. You get massive amount of duplicates, which you cannot do anything with. Packs are overprices. Battlepass is nearly 50 dollars lol. They are out of touch with reality.

Typical ubiflop product, greedy and short sighted. Stay away.
This is one of the most interesting and genuinely fun digital TCGs I’ve played in years. The Mixed score is doing it a real disservice — the core gameplay is excellent and feels fresh in a genre that often just recycles the same formulas.
What actually makes it special
The resource system is the standout. Instead of a traditional mana curve that ramps every turn, every card in your hand generates gold (usually 1, 2, or 3). The gold production value is printed right on the card, and the total gold from your entire hand is what you have available that turn. Out-of-faction cards produce one less gold, so deckbuilding has real consequences. This creates constant interesting decisions: do I keep a high-production card in hand for the gold, or play it for its effect? Unspent gold is lost at the end of the turn, so efficiency matters. Matches stay engaging from the first turn instead of the usual slow early game. Heroes level up during the match like mini-RPGs. They gain attack and you pick new abilities as the game progresses. This turns longer games into escalating power struggles and rewards good mid-game decision-making. Pair that with actual positioning, buildings that shape the board, and distinct faction identities (Haven, Necropolis, Inferno, Academy — and more content has been added since launch), and you get a hybrid of classic TCG deckbuilding and the tactical flavor that made Heroes of Might & Magic special. Deckbuilding has real freedom. You’re not locked into pure mono-faction lists, so synergies and creative tech choices matter. The game rewards understanding the interactions and sequencing more than just drawing the strongest cards.
Progression and the “Mixed” complaints
Yes, pack economy is slower than some people want and the early grind for new cards can feel deliberate. That’s the main source of the mixed reviews. Fair criticism for Early Access. That said, the game is fully playable and competitive as free-to-play if you’re willing to learn the systems and work with what you have. Wins and quests give steady gold, you can dust duplicates, and the pity system helps. The skill ceiling is high enough that better play consistently beats raw card quality in most of the ranked ladder. The developers have been shipping balance patches, card reworks, new cards of the week rotations, and bigger updates (new faction content, seasons, etc.). It’s clearly still being supported and iterated on rather than abandoned.
Who this is for

People who like strategic depth over pure RNG or hyper-aggressive face decks
Fans of the Might & Magic universe who want something that actually feels connected to the old games
Players who enjoy resource management puzzles and evolving board states
Anyone burned out on the same three TCG templates and looking for something with its own identity
It’s free. The matches are relatively fast but thoughtful. The systems click in a satisfying way once you get past the first handful of games. If you bounce off after two hours because progression feels slow, that’s valid — but if you give the gameplay itself a real chance, a lot of the negative reviews start looking overblown relative to how good the actual card battles feel. I’ve had a blast with it. Strongly recommended for anyone who values clever design over polished live-service candy. Give it a proper shot.

Nope. Too much handholding in the beginning. Let me press the buttons that I want, not the button that some random dev wanted. Gameplay-wise (at least for starter decks), the factions don't feel balanced at all. But I would need to play more to givw an accurate opinion on that.
Most unbalanced TCG i have played in a while. Some Rares, Epics and Legendaries cards are far too strong and literally finished the game the moment they are played. Free to play player, just stay out of this.
