The first few hours are actually quite enjoyable. You collect cards, regularly open booster packs, and climb through the ranks at a decent pace. At first, the game gives you the impression that you can compete reasonably well without spending any money. However, once you reach Gold rank at the latest, the façade quickly falls apart. Suddenly, you are matched almost exclusively against players with significantly stronger cards and decks, leaving you with very little chance of winning. Progress slows down dramatically, and the game makes it painfully clear that you either have to invest a huge amount of time or open your wallet. The monetization is simply excessive. For a collectible card game, a certain amount of grinding is perfectly acceptable — but here, every aspect of progression seems to be artificially slowed down to make purchases more appealing. As a free-to-play player, you feel less like a serious participant and more like a spectator. The biggest issue, however, is the integration of NFT trading. This decision feels like a relic of a hype that hardly anyone takes seriously anymore. Instead of focusing on solid gameplay and a fair card game, the developers have added a system that further reinforces the pay-to-win impression and is likely to scare off many potential players before they even get started. This is particularly disappointing because the Might & Magic universe has so much potential. With fairer progression and a much smaller focus on monetization, this could have been a really good TCG. Instead, what we are left with is a game that starts with a lot of promise but ultimately drives itself into the ground through greed and questionable design decisions. No recommendation.
Is really fun. But sadly is a pay to win. So I play it sometimes anyways.
