I've played Fates a little bit around the start of early access. I played only one game (except for tutorial) and the gameplay is very non-intuitive. And the more information I read about this game the less reasons I have to play it. Especially if there is no plot, no single-player campaign or at least some PvE. If you're reading this, try DoC Revival instead. This fan project is fully free and has a cool community.

This may be the first bad review I've ever left on here. Pro's: Nice art, music and smooth Animations. Good gameplay at times. Con's: Severely unbalanced. No tactical back and forth half of the time since you can just waste someones entire turn at low cost (looking at you Nur). Stronghold and haven get shat on most of the time and the game currently favours necro, academy and inferno. Also, the devs are unashamedly cash hungry. They drip feed cards, charge too much for packs and their latest addition - The Forge, charges you real money to turn your cards into tradable nft's which nobody outside the game gives a crap about. So you can't even dust cards and craft new ones, like in hearthstone. It's all just really predatory and low effort. Balance changed make the issue worse half the time too. STAY AWAY. ITS NOT WORTH YOUR TIME.
Seems pay to win to me
Pay To Win When are you going to update Sacrificial Altar? Next Life?
F*** cards that steal initiative... what the he** are they thinking. This game was good until gold rank. Where every game is decided on "Did you draw both of your initiative stealing cards? if so, you win." Might as well have printed take an extra turn cards... I mean you start with 8-10 "Mana"... DESIGN WORTH A F***
