Midnight Scenes: From the Woods

[h2] Уныло, не страшно, неинтересно. [/h2] По сути, у этой части серии Midnight Scenes вайб тех самых малобюджетных зарубежных мистических сериалов с ТВ3, которые показывают ближе к ночи,и от которых тебе было либо смешно, либо все равно. И в этом нет ничего плохого, если бы в игре присутствовали какой-либо затягивающий геймплей, неожиданные повороты, или какой-нибудь яркий уникальный визуальный стиль, но ничего из этого тут нет. Сюжет в ней банален,избит,и не несет в себе никаких новшеств от начала и до конца, наблюдать за происходящим было не особо интересно. Персонажи стереотипны(странный новенький, изгой-нерд с тягой к творчеству, темнокожий напарник и тд.). Сопереживать им можно, но совсем чуть чуть, так как от картонки их отличает пара неплохо написанных моментов в сценарии. Визуал игры мне понравился, пиксельный арт впермешку со стандартным выглядит хорошо, звучит игра неплохо, звуки местами пугают, иногда появляющаяся озвучка людей выполнена 50\50(странные возгласы мужским голосом при изображении на экране еды я не выкупил,для чего это было добавлено?) Цена за игру себя оправдает только в том случае,если вам вечером совсем уж нечем заняться, и вы хотите залипнуть во что-то с уклоном на нарратив, при этом понимая, что особо крутой и оригинальной истории вы не увидите. PS Боже, я не понимаю, откуда у разработчиков такая тяга жестоко убивать животных в своих играх? В одной части собачку расчленяют, в этой гусыне горло ручкой вспарывают...Может кому-то обратиться за помощью,а,сценаристы? В общем, это творение не справилось ни как нарративное приключение, ни как геймплейное залипалово. 2,5 из 10 𓇢𓆸

easily my fav game out of the Midnight Scenes series, delivers perfectly in what youd expect out of a point and click story game

Longer than the ones before, love that it's a direct sequel to The Nanny, really enjoyed it. Edit: Since this the last one I've played, A Safe Place didn't quite interest me, I will say that these have been a good series of games. The Highway & The Goodbye Note felt like oldie horror films, being in black & white & featuring narratives that were popular at the time, aliens & mysterious happenings & the like. The Nanny & this are both good as well, playing like a 1980s horror film. The pixel artstyle going from black & white to colour was a very nice touch; the art itself very well done. Love 'em all!

Punchy. pulpy and heartful, some tonal inconsistences in design aren't enough to stop this short interactive horror fiction being worth your time.

ストーリーの時系列としては前作の続き。冒頭のテレビのシーンから演出がおしゃれで惹き込まれる。 各登場人物のキャラクター描写がとても良くて、青春ドラマな要素もありつつのホラーストーリーでめちゃくちゃ良かった。ボリュームもちょうどよく、映画を一本見たような満足感でした！！ トイレと隣接しているシャワールーム嫌すぎるけど、アメリカの昔の学校とかってこんな感じなのかな……。あと、いじめ描写は嫌～な感じ。いじめの生々しい嫌さと比較すると、森の怪異たちがやっていることがヒロイックに見える。まぁスプラッタなのだが。 ゲームとしてはポイント＆クリックでストーリーを進める形式で、謎解きやアクションが求められる場面はほとんど無い。でもストーリーが面白いので、難しい操作を求められない点がむしろ良いかも。 80年代を舞台にした、80年代ホラー映画っぽい作風なのだけれど、クィアのロマンスを描いている点は現代的でそこも良かった。

This one is a bit longer then the first few games in this series and i think that was pretty good to flesh out the story a bit more. The art and story were really amazing this time but if you haven't played The Nanny first you are missing out since this is a direct sequel to that but you don't have to play it to understand what is going on. The music was really atmospheric with the songs and sound effects helping the scares. The only slightly negative thing is a few of the sound effects i feel didn't fit the feel of the story but they were more hidden so it's not that big of a deal. I would still very much recommend this game 9/10!

I thought this was so good. It takes all of the atmosphere and storytelling normally present in Octavi Navarro's games and extends it without losing any of the punch. Basically every object is has a little dialogue or description, which I adore, and the dialogue options for Elijah felt natural and fitted to his character (I feel many games with multiple dialogue options are not able to boast this). The story was really good and super engaging, though the gameplay is quite limited (it's not puzzle solving, it's more of an interactive story). It wasn't super scary but I don't really think that's such a bad thing; it's good for other reasons. I will say, I haven't played the game this is supposedly a sequel to because I got my order mixed up, so it didn't bother me it wasn't a stand-alone, because in my eyes it was.

Oh I enjoyed this game so much! Less problem-solving than the first few games, but the story was so great I didn't even care! This is a continuation of the Nanny episode in this series. This was probably my favorite installment thus far. The end credits made me giggle too. If you enjoyed the other games, including the graphics, music, and storytelling and are okay without the puzzles/problem-solving, you will definitely like this! Highly recommend.
