Let's get the obvious downfalls out of the way first: yes, there are no updates, the developers left the game long ago, and yes, there are still some (or some more) bugs in there. Having said that, this is still quite an interesting game. It's tough as nails, rockhardsteeldiamondtough and simply unforgiving between hyperdeadly cop drone patrols and awkward gun mechanics. But just consider this: this is not a game about killing sprees. The game does not want you to go trigger happy. The game mechanics are designed to exactly avoid arcade stlye shooting. This is about the one, single good shot and dealing with impossible tasks. No hand-holding, not much tutorial: this one you have to go alone. It will reward only patience, but the payoff after staking out a target, carefully following it around while waiting for the perfect kill is perversely satisfying. It also sports pretty impressive world building. The grainy graphics help to create a dirty cyberpunk metropolis that is astonishingly atmospheric for its unpolished sheen. (Oldtimers might remember the 1994 adventure Dreamweb by Empire Interactive - Metrocide digs in the same mold). No real story mode though. This is barebones gaming, no additional icing and the cherry on top went dystopic long ago. The regular price is too high though. Pick it up in a sale if you look for a challenge - even if it is unfinished it still is quite an interesting gaming experience.

Devs abandoned the game. DO NOT BUY. This game will forever be half-baked and as shallow as a puddle of water.
The game sounds enticing for fans of the genre (stealth or cyberpunk) but the mechanics are incredibly flawed. Sometimes police drones flag and attack you from a few tiles away- sometimes from a screen away! Usually if you are spotted committing a crime, a notification will appear that a civilian spotted you and identified you as a suspect. Other times, (read: MANY), no civilian will spot you, no alerts will appear over their heads, no message will appear that you have been ID'd as a suspect, and yet a minute later, all of the police drones in your zone will be fully alerted, looking for you, ready to kill you, and ending your run. The mechanics do not work as explained, are entirely unpredictable, and fundamentally broken. Only worth the buy for the most die-hard, masochistic fans of the relevant genres. Great ideas, would be great as a polished re-make. But this version is crap.
Nothing much to do in the game. Go to a location, go to another location, kill the bad guy, get killed by police/get away. Rinse and repeat.
Needs to be improved. Especially the font sizing and symbols. (Ex; **) Even full screen the game sizing needs balancing. (Ex; cameras too small) Im not changing my system resolution just for this one game! It does need some optimization for the variety of systems in the world, so take this as a warning. Because it needs some tweaking, for the price of the game (And the fact that they should of marketed this as EARLY ACCESS), I cannot recommend this game just yet.
Man, I REALLy wanted to like this game. On paper, it sounds amazing. It's just really...lacking, I guess? The game gets flat and old in minutes. The world feels empty. The backgrounds and people all kind of blend together. It's not a bad game, necessarily, but it's definitely not a GOOD game. It's honestly a solid, middle of the road, mediocre. It's a stealth game, but the stealth mechanics are really primitive. Not unlike the old, free Newgrounds games, if anyone remembers playing those. Basically, the stealth is very simply just staying out of line of sight. There is no ability to hide from the enemy once they've spotted you. Unless you kill them, the cops will be after you. You can't really hide from the cops so much as run. If the cops are near by, they will catch you. You just need to maintain distance and hope you aren't on their patrol path. If you are caught, you have more or less, lost. The only hope is if you are close enough to a phone to call them off. Like I said, on paper, it sounds fun and interesting. In the actual game, though, it's very VERY simplistic. A lot of the actual sucess of the game is literally luck. You may be caught by someone leaving a building as soon as you shoot a target. Alternatively, your target might walk into an area where there are no witnesses and an easy hiding place for the body. The problem is that your own death can happen in seconds, and then you lose all your progress. You might be nearing the end of the level, after 30 minutes or so, and get one bad moment which unwrites all of that, Obviously, there is a place for the whole hardcore, high-difficulty, skill-based type game, but this is not it. Too much relies on factors outside of your control
i love the idea of this game and it's nicely executed. - however, when you spend over an hour building up your career and the game just crashes, that feels pretty ♥♥♥♥. because there's no way to save and you just have to start all over again from zero. - or if you get stuck in a pile of trash and can't get out and have to start all over again from zero. that's why i can't recommend it until these things are fixed.
The game feels as it never left early access. Lackluster design ruins all the fun, it's a frustrating and repetitive experience from start to finish. I was always hoping that the Devs would deliver some updates to bring the game up to speed but this never happened.
Eh its pretty good. In short bursts its kinda nice, but a long play session is not reccomended. I'd buy it for like 5$.
Fun little cyberpunk top-down shooter.
