This is the only time I've ever refunded a boomer shooter because of the main character. The catgirl theme isn't inherently bad, but the execution is awful, and the voice acting in particular is insufferable. I know what you're thinking: "Bruh, this is a boomer shooter. Nobody cares about the story or one-liners." I get that, and usually I'd agree, but it's just so ridiculously awful that it becomes genuinely distracting during gameplay. The voice acting is so bad that it borders on comedy. It's a shame, because the underlying foundation isn't bad. The shooting is decent, and the levels don't look terrible.

Surprisingly, it’s a very silly, cool, one brain celled shooter featuring a cat MILF who loves pizza and video games. MeowPros: + I’d love to marry her. + A large arsenal of weapons - even the melee moves are fun to use, which is unusual for an older engine. + The levels are very well designed and, for the most part, easy to navigate - I rarely got lost, even though I hate games where you have to search for keys; this game is the first exception. + It makes good use of zero gravity toward the end, but overall, I feel like the game lacks verticality and the ability to non-damage rocket jumps (Perhaps I’m wrong). + Flexible difficulty settings, with the option to make the already massive hordes of enemies even larger + A brilliant, well-crafted plot that beats The Last of Us Part II in terms of drama and suspense - and, most importantly, makes you wonder what catnip tastes like... + ultra mega perfect optimisation + Cool original soundtrack that’s perfect for lying on the floor and thrashing about in a fit (I loved it) MeowCons: - Sometimes the levels and secrets aren’t very obvious to find, but these instances are few and far between. - Collecting kittens doesn’t grant any unique abilities or weapons—it’s just a fun little collection feature. - There’s no weapon selection wheel; I can’t say whether it’s possible to add one to such an old engine, but it’s clear that with the game’s fast pace, there’s a lack of control. Despite these cons, I don’t think they detract from the overall experience.

Boomer Shooter With Lots Of Cats MeowGun: Hell Denizen is a fun little shooter game which contains a lot mayhem, silliness and of course cat puns. It pretty much offers some decent amount of content and i managed to beat it in one session including the bonus stages. Gameplay is solid with tons of ways to make your experience easy or hard. Gun variety is good when you start with a pistol then you find more throughout the levels and you can find secret areas for you to explore. Level designs are great but the soundtrack to me feels rather... Uninteresting to say the least. It's not the worst i have heard but it gets a little repetitive for awhile. My only critique for this game is the lighting. Basically most of the time the levels are really dark and you can't see anything unless you adjust the settings but instead it got too bright which made it worse. If i had a flashlight this would not be an issue. That's about it. It might be a bit short since i mentioned before you can beat it in one session which was about 8 hours. However it still was fun to play and i recommend you try this if you like a boomer shooter filled with cat puns then go ahead. Also there is a survival mode if you wanna play it some more or play with friends if you are itching for some even more cat mayhem! 7/10

Pretty unique level design and monsters, and yes, you can turn off the voice acting thank goodness.
