Vietnam, 1965. You are Dean Shepard, a "cherry" to the 'Nam with zero war experience other than standard boot camp training at Parris Island, SC. Along with your platoon, you will fight the NVA and the Vietcong in true historic locales and battles.

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 7 → 0.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
I thought this would be pretty bad based on the negative reviews. There are valid points, but a few thoughts A: There are no bugs and this game runs perfectly (not common for these old games) B: Great soundtrack voice acting, writing, and environmental design. C: I love having ADS and this game doesn't have it. I thought that would bother me a lot more than it did. You get used to it very quickly D: The gameplay is repetitive, but I didn't mind. It is challenging enough to stay interesting. On medium difficulty it is fun without being too hard or easy. Most people complaining about difficulty are probably playing on Hard.
Hra, ve které budete nejspíše hodně umírat. Nejspíše, protože až na zanedbatelný zlomek případů je smrt vždy jen dílem náhody a nijak nesouvisí s tím, jestli hru umíte hrát. Men of Valor si libuje v plýtvání hráčova času. Ale ještě předtím si užijete fade-in na posmrtnou obrazovku číslo 1, poté fade-out, fade-in na obrazovku číslo 2, fade-out, a až poté se můžete vrátit zpět do hry.

this shi is ahh
Classic game I grew up playing on the OG Xbox. Like the other many war games I played back when I was a kid, they always have great footage and commentary to go along with it so you can understand the timeline and what was going on then. Probably one of the many reasons I love history. Also great story to go a long with everything! I love the note from him to his dad and how it zooms into the picture to then be there in Vietnam. Love it.
This game is dissapointingly bad. It starts off alright with the first 'operation' (campaign chapter), and then immediately nosedives into the most bland and derivative shooter possible. At a glance, the core structure of this game isn't bad; there's decent shooting mechanics, a simple health system and simpler missions played with a squad of, again, simpler AI friendlies. However, every single one of those things is completely and utterly ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up here. The shooting is a boring rhythm of tap-firing at the heads of static enemies, the health system severely gimps the shooting in missions which are nothing but vapid shooting galleries, and the friendly AI is seemingly just there to piss you off. While trudging through the jungles (corridors), wetlands (corridors), rice paddies (corridors), and cityscapes (corridors) of Vietnam, your artificial comrades are sure to be standing in your way and doing nothing to actually assist you — if they are not in your way, they are crouched by cover and all but catatonic. Your adversaries are much more threatening, materialising out of forest brush and concrete walls in front of, next to or behind you at any given moment. Playing Men of Valo(u)r was excruciating, and the only hooks that kept me trundling along were the superficial aspects of the game. For a game from 2004, it looks and runs well on a modern computer. Characters and environments are well detailed and effort was clearly put into depicting an accurate portrayal of Vietnam. A story, in the form of an intermittent dialogue, runs between missions. You play as Dean Shepard, a black man from Oklahoma fighting with the Marine Corps in 'Nam. Writing and receiving letters from your parents, the game gives context to your situation and the situation of the characters around you. Upon dying, you are shown a letter notifying your parents of your death. The contents and author of this letter change from mission to mission and it's a silver lining to all the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ deaths you will face in the process of playing this game. In terms of the historical setting, the game gets it right. There are documentary-style videos before each of the 4 operations, describing both the strategic and tactical situation of the time ('65-'68). A lot of research must have been done as some of the depictions of places like Khe Sanh are near 1:1 to how they're described in the history books. Several scenes and anecdotes throughout the game are also lifted straight from 'Dispatches' by Michael Herr. There are some cool details throughout, like the various uniform modifications seen or the open flack jackets on the less disciplined soldiers. The game's presentation would give the impression that a lot of care went into making it, but sadly it is all smoke and mirrors. It is horrendous ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, and I sincerely regret the 9 hours I wasted on this hunk of ♥♥♥♥♥.
