Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 10.56/day in the week to Aug 4 → 9.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

A fun and expansive Mechwarrior/Battletech experience. Lots of depth, while being twitchy enough to appeal to a broad range of player types. Lots of great mods to add even more depth and customization.
I've found this game to be very unstable. Origninally it worked ok but the graphics and gameplay were very glitchy. With the most recent patch it has become basically unplayable and crashes at the end of any mission. I've given up on troubleshooting it. My system far exceeds the recommended paramters and I am not even close to maxing out settings. It's a shame because it would be awesome if it was reliable. I would definitley recommend if it didn't crash constantly.

So much fun! ALways been a massive mech Assualt fan back in the day on the OG xbox and Phantom War on the DS this keeps its going spiritually and is incredible fun to play solo and with friends
Been playing this game for a very long time on Xbox - recently moved over to the Steam Machine and it's great. Well supported, developers are active on the Subreddit for this game. I play without mods, so I cannot comment on that aspect of the game. If you're looking for a good time blowing up 'Mechs and customizing your own, this is a great option.
Doesn't support 95% of joysticks which is ridiculous when MW4 worked better 20 years ago. I specifically bought the game and a joystick just for the game assuming that the game had basic joystick support. Maybe it will work if you spend 8 hours researching solutions, downloading two different kinds of third party software and attempt to get them setup and talking to each other, to windows, and to the game. There's no reason for it and we shouldn't have to work that hard. Naturally there's no refund and no support from the developers. The level of minimal effort and greed from developers over the last 10 to 20 years is disgusting. How to Force a Manual Review on Steam. If you bought the game on Steam and are past the 2-hour mark, do not use the standard automated refund button. It will instantly reject you. Instead, force a human customer support agent to read your ticket: Go to Help > Steam Support > Games, Software, etc.Select MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries. Choose I have a question about this purchase (this opens a manual text box instead of the automated refund loop). State clearly that the product is defective and unplayable. Use a punchy explanation like: "The game is a mech simulator that advertises flight stick support, but the game engine fails to communicate with standard Windows joystick hardware. I spent my entire 'playtime' attempting to fix a known, unpatched hardware compatibility bug in the configuration files, meaning I have zero actual gameplay time. The product is not fit for purpose."
Took a bit to get into, but letting go of the TT rules and at times questionable AI, and just enjoying the game for what it is and being able to relive some pivitol moments of the game I've realy fallen in love with it. 8/10 Playing it through on Linux, so far no issues.
Just like the good old days of mechwarrior
Well it´s one of the best waling simulators out there. Will make every Mech´jokey happy
Look. It's got big stompy robbits in it. If you're looking at reviews you're into this sort of ♥♥♥♥ so yeah, this is what you're looking for. The story and campaigns are solid and especially the latest ones you can really see all the lessons learned from the Clan invasion spinoff game paying off. You can get mods to tweak it however you want - want it more lore accurate? Want big gunbag mechlab shenanigans? Plus both modded and unmodded settings to tweak to make it be what you want. Hundred + hours Campaign playthrough from the start in 3025 all the way through Clan Invasion and Tukayyid? With MC actually showing his age a bit? This game fits a very specific niche as the defacto single player Mechwarrior/Battletech experience and it does it really well. The setting itself has some issues (bigger generally is just better, power/tech creep, etc) and this game doesn't really try to 'mitigate' those aside from giving you the settings to adjust it yourself. It does a great job being true to the setting for a first person game. Being a struggling merc with a cobbled together lance to playing a roll in the 4th Succession War to the Ronin War and Rasalhague independence to being a veteran unit roped into trying to slow the Clan Invasion, there's just a lot of *game* here to play. Play it all, play the bits you want, mod it to be what you want. The biggest success I can lay at the feet of this game is breadth of play and customization. Which is what made the original Mechwarrior Mercenaries and even Battletech tabletop so amazing. This game and the DLC are worth the money if that's what you're looking to play.
Great Game for Battletech GROGNARDS .Much replay ability with or without modding.
