Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 10.56/day in the week to Aug 4 → 9.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Underwhelming
The game is woke. Your mech mechanic in the hangar bay is a sand man named Fahad that, *sighs* has a British accent. (Can Japan stop already with their overuse of British accents. It sucked on Zelda and it sucks here.) Major Ryana Campbell is your butch lesbian short-haired girl boss who tells you what you need to do. (Still would btw, but the devs need to make her rear assests more vulumptious. You can tell they tried to censor it by putting a totally off-putting and inorganic waist sash attachement on the back of her uniform to hide her buttocks.) The bad guys are the Dragon faction who's faction emblem are Weimar color coded and are essentially Asian Nazi's so we must defeat them because the colors are bad guy colors! Looks and feels like this games writing and character design trooned out. Gameplay is solid however.

Great coop, love the universe and customization options. Mods are great.
Just had to post this review to counter some negative reviews citing "bad teammate AI" or "enemies focusing ONLY the players mech" that are not only completely wrong but so incorrect that it makes me wonder if the reviewers accidentally reviewed an entirely different game or are playing some alternate universe version of this one. First of all, the AI in this game is perfectly serviceable - both your own lancemates and the enemy. It's not at the level of a very good player, but it will maneuver to flank (when appropriate) and shoot its weapons at the enemy with decent accuracy from appropriate ranges and will give you major trouble if your positioning and/or aim is poor. Regarding your squad mates "constantly getting stuck" - there was one single occasion out of probably 30 missions where one of my squad mates got stuck on the terrain, which was easily fixed by the Camera - Switch feature which allows you to directly control any of your squadmates as if it were your own, a feature I can only assume this reviewer wasn't aware of. Secondly, the enemy AI prioritizes shooting at whichever target dealt them the most damage over the most recent period of time so it's actually very rare for more than 1 or 2 to be actively shooting at you. However it does seem like when they initially engage and haven't taken any damage they simply target the closest enemy which WILL usually be you as you're literally leading your lancemates around, but once your teammates start shooting back their attention will be spread out across your squad. Also you can literally order your squad to move ahead of you as a group or individually, if you want to insure they're always the ones taking initial damage. So it would appear that 99% of this games Negative Reviews are, in fact, due to Skill Issue. Many such cases!
Game is abosultely punishing at the beginning and getting stuck in endless cycles of repairing and failing only to never complete your mission and completely draining your bank account because of constant repairs is demoralizing, Not worth my time or money
If you're looking for a serious review, please read this ! This game is INCREDIBLY grindy and I cannot recommend it. Even on easy difficulty, you're probably going to get your ass kicked. With max armor on some mechs, you'll still be demolished when the game throws enemy spam at you. The game doesn't really teach you about mech weak spots either, besides in the tutorial level which advises to "aim at the legs". There is generally no counterplay besides getting better gear, which is also an atrocious process. It felt like they designed the progression system to how a company might handle an MMORPG, except this isn't an MMORPG, it's a game about fighting robots and customizing your own fleet. I wish I had better things to say but I can't stress how boring this game was. The entire mission system, without exaggeration, is after every level-up you'll do a sub-par half-assed dedicated mission to the campaign where you do nothing special. Just fighting mechs. Then it'll be over and the game will ask you to 'level up your reputation for the next one'. This game is a literal chore. I enjoyed the cheesiness of it at first, and figured as long as it progressed good, it might be interesting. But this is a train wreck. I bought it on sale and I'm only trying to finish the game so I can uninstall it. If you're a big fan of Titanfall or similar series, this is not for you - and not similar at all.
When it comes to battling it out in giant bipedal war machines, nothing tops the Battletech IP for a bunch of reasons. It's as rich of a universe as any IP out there, complete with decades of lore and a ton of really thoughtful 'Mech designs. That's the context for MechWarrior, and there's no substitute. This franchise is clearly a labor of love for Piranha Games. If you were an enjoyer of previous MechWarrior titles, you're going to absolutely love this game. It takes the formula and improves upon it in every way. The 'Mechs are beautifully redesigned and rendered from their previous digital interpretations, to the point that many of the redesigns are preferred in Battletech canon now. For the most part, the DLC adds significant new content that is best enjoyed in something resembling release order. Get the base game, play the campaign. Then get Heroes of the Inner Sphere and build out a lengthy career in Career Mode. Then get Kestral Lancers and experience that campaign. Eventually Shadows of Kerensky to feel the impact of the Clan invasion (the most popular and recognizable moment in Battletech history) firsthand in such an impactful way that it's kind of hard to describe secondhand. And so on. If you like Battletech, especially if you have enjoyed previous MechWarrior titles, you'll get hundreds of hours out of this game as you fall in love with new build, new lances, new pilots, new weapons systems, new mission types, rinse and repeat.
Yeet
The game is almost 7 years old and is still the definitive Action-Mecha experience. Vanilla is already a great experience, but even with just a couple of mods like YAML and TTRulezAI, it becomes a masterpiece. In all honesty, I thought the dev called it quits with SoK, but Chaos Reigns showed us that there's more in the tank for the game. Hopefully we get more DLCs for the game, we still have the FedCom Civil War and The Great Refusal to go through, with WoB Jihad being the penultimate event before an actual change of era for the game. 8.5/10 without mods, 11/10 with mods.
