Metroidvania where each suit has 1 ability and you have to switch suits on the fly to progress. Decent map. OK music. Haven't fought any bosses yet. Not really any story, and 1-bit graphics, but is that any different from Metroid 2?
It's short and neat, but also a bit clunky
A very strange/rough game. The art style is sparse. The difficulty seems to spike with the middle boss and the final boss is a pushover. However I found the abilities being tied to new forms AND those forms having negatives such as slower movement speed/jump heights intriguing, but I don't feel it plays out too well. It is annoying having to switch back to the super jump mech suit constantly. They probably didn't want you to become a massively powerful cube of doom, but the form switching wheel freezes time and there's no restriction in changing back and forth between forms (i.e.e cooldown, energy usage) so you'll really just be enduring this nuisance when it could have been a smoother experience.

Mech Chip is a neat little metroid-ish platformer with a great style that matches the idea of it being a "chip", especially when the default window for the game is so small. There is a bit a variety in the number of mech forms you can take, although some are clearly better than others for certain tasks
The bomb tank was the one I used almost exclusively for the bosses
, while others you use only when it's needed or not at all. The difficulty can also spike at times as well, but not enough to take me out of the game too much. The music, while keeping up with the simple theme, was pretty good to boot. Overall, Mech Chip was a worthwhile little experience to try out, even if getting 100% achievements ended up grindy right at the end.
It's okay. It certainly doesn't deserve a downvote and it is definitely priced fairly. It's got a nice aesthetic and a solid concept, but the mechs swing heavily between braindead and insanely situational. At the start, there's a tiny bit of incremental progress as you get more movement and combat capabilities, but the latter half of the mechs don't meaningfully change the gameplay beyond "now I can open a different type of door". There were a couple tiny bits of telegraphing I liked - a certain enemy that matches the shape of a certain mech is able to walk thru spikes that were normally harmful, and a destructible platform far out of reach tricks you into breaking something you might not realize you can break. I think the dev has talent and I'm happy to support them, this is just a genre that has set a very high standard.
It was alright. The map design was maybe a little annoying and the form switching could've used some work, but still a solid metroidvania.
