A awesome little FMV. The start is awesome which it had a song and i was for a moment thought that this will end when the song ended. But what a nice and really humorous game. I mean the lines delivered made me laugh cause they are really funny. Sometimes the actor acting felt like he was trying hard but that is over-sighted by the interesting story. The protagonist could spend a little bit of time to take pictures as we all know real photographers won't click only a single pick. I guess enough nitpicking. The game though free is well worth it and the progression is clear and linear. Definitely recommended to try and support the developer!!!
Sehr geile 90ger GK Vibes ... i like die Anspielungen <3

You can feel a lot of heart in the game.
I love checkin out F T P games & this one did not disappoint. I made a video for my F T P series here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fnWP-0z9TVY Lots going on for FREE, yea there's some cringe moments but I really really enjoyed this game. Unfortunately, I got copyrighted on a lot of the music & had to revenue share, which is unfortunate, especially considering it's a F T P game. I'll just clip those parts but it's still annoying. Definitely recommend & I would check out other stuff from this Dev as long as I knew I wouldn't have to deal with the copyright issues. Definitely play this, 8/10.
Markus Ritter - The Lost Family is an emotionally charged adventure that left a lasting impression on me. From its heartfelt storytelling to its captivating gameplay mechanics, this game is a true gem that deserves recognition. At the heart of Markus Ritter - The Lost Family lies its touching storyline. As Markus Ritter, the protagonist on a quest to uncover the truth about his family's mysterious disappearance, I was immediately drawn into a world of intrigue and suspense. The narrative unfolds with depth and complexity, as Markus delves into his past and confronts long-buried secrets. Along the way, I found myself deeply invested in Markus's journey, rooting for him every step of the way. But what truly sets Markus Ritter - The Lost Family apart is its innovative gameplay mechanics. The game seamlessly blends elements of adventure, puzzle-solving, and exploration, keeping me engaged and entertained throughout. Whether I was piecing together clues to unravel the mystery or navigating treacherous environments in search of answers, every moment felt like a thrilling adventure. In addition to its engaging gameplay, Markus Ritter - The Lost Family also boasts stunning visuals and a hauntingly beautiful soundtrack. The game's hand-drawn art style is simply breathtaking, with lush environments and detailed character designs that bring the world to life in vivid detail. And the music perfectly complements the atmosphere, enhancing the emotional impact of key moments and drawing me further into Markus's story. But perhaps what I love most about Markus Ritter - The Lost Family is its message of hope and resilience in the face of adversity. Through Markus's journey, I was reminded of the power of family, love, and perseverance in overcoming life's greatest challenges. It's a story that resonated with me on a deeply personal level, and one that I won't soon forget. In conclusion, Markus Ritter - The Lost Family is a must-play for anyone in search of a heartfelt and immersive gaming experience. With its compelling storyline, innovative gameplay, and stunning presentation, it's a journey that will stay with you long after the credits roll. Trust me, you won't want to miss out on this unforgettable adventure.
//// After Harvester, I discovered the B-movie style FMV video game aesthetic for myself and found it quite interesting to follow the heyday of these type of video games even later. After searching for FMV games on Steam with great interest, I came across Markus Ritter - The Lost Family. I must say that it was a refreshing experience to experience the same feel of the FMV games of the 90's in a much higher quality! As I played the game in English, I noticed the slightly incorrect spelling mistakes in the subtitles, but this was not so tragic for the gameplay experience. Despite the short story, the game left a very positive impression and was a lot of fun despite not being too familiar with point'n'click games in general. As the second chapter is already out, I'm thinking about buying it and playing it.
Full Motion Video games (or FMV games) were always an acquired taste, even back in the 1990's when they were a novelty. You either bought into the cheesy camp and went along for the ride, or you didn't. If you've never played a FMV game, Marcus Ritter is a fair introduction to the genre. It looks terrific (both extended cutscenes play like music videos) and sounds good (volume controls in the options). The game mechanics (point and click) are an improvement over the older games, but I found that the screen hot spots were sometimes difficult to see, even with Clues enabled. There is a games save feature, but it is not automatic. Return to the Main Menu and manually save before you run off to work! An interesting experience and a good effort by a small development team. If you're new to this genre and curious about FMV, this is a good game to try. If you're already a fan of FMV, what are you waiting for?
