Magnus Failure is an isometric exploration and adventure game with logical elements. The protagonist of the game is a person who, for unknown reasons, finds himself in the isolation of other people and scans the radio in search of a signal.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away.
Magnus Failure
(Tetralogy) I. Magnus Failure II. Magnus Imago III. Magnus Positive Phototaxis IV. Lazarus A.D. 2222 Magnus Failure is not for me, Magnus Imago and Magnus Positive Phototaxis, are much better which i will rate positively. I know this is supposed to be a Tetralogy but at the moment I haven't seen the link maybe the last one Lazarus A.D. 2222 will though. The game is slow pace and I usually don't mind in a walking sim for example if the environment is beautiful but this is not the case here, when you finish the game, you still have a lot of things in your bag not sure what they are used for. Edit : Lazarus A.D. 2222 does explain the previous games and now it makes a bit more sense, neverthless I wish Magnus Failure was more point and click like Magnus Imago and Magnus Positive Phototaxis.
This is a short (completed in about an hour) game but a pleasant experience nonetheless. The strange atmospheric graphics style, quirky soundtrack and walking-pace action are a perfect blend for me. The puzzles are not over complicated but still require a reasonable mix of logic, skill and guesswork. My only disappointment was the rather abrupt ending to the game. It feels like there is much more to do and to explore. I really hope Sons of Welder expand this game. I recommend it as a relaxing, short distraction.

Failure is the first in a series of 4 games, a point and click hour long adventure that is strange, familiar and also just has these incredible vibes to it. Tactile buttons and other worldly sounds combine with a distinct art style that makes this game wholly unique. I love this series of games. I wrote an essay analyzing them as a collection, speaking with one of the brothers behind them for the piece. Play these games, they are more than worth your time. http://www.pressplaygaming.net/articles/2024/1/19/unravelling-sons-of-welders-magnusnbspgame-series
Oh, when the tags fail the game... It is not a platformer, but an isometric puzzle adventure with an eerie, atmospheric hand-drawn art style. It is short and only the first game of the series, so the ending is more like a "to be continued" picture. All in all, I had my fun. It is recommended.
No dobra ziomki to mam takie uwagi: 1. Fajna łamigłówka o odpowiednim poziomie trudności (ustawianie symboli w odpowiednim układzie), samo używanie znalezionych przedmiotów trochę zbyt przypadkowe; I to tyle, fajnie że rozwijacie hobby.

I did enjoy the game although it had its "things" Let's start with the good. The hand drawn art style is phenomenal. I may be biased because it is an art style I tend to like a bit more than others used in point and click mystery adventures. Nonetheless, it is great art work, Along with the art, the game's music is on par. I loved that I could also change the songs when accessing the inventory. Not at first but you'll get there. The puzzles and machine interactions were fun and clever. They also felt balanced when it came to difficulty, fitting for the game's atmosphere. I know a lot of people have mentioned they didn't like the way interactions were set in the game. It completely deviates from "standard", but I thought it was creative and I didn't feel like it ruined anything in the way the game plays. Clicking on arrows as if you were using a computer, pressing a button to select, it just fits the theme. It didn't even cross my mind as a bad thing. As a bonus I liked the retro look and feel of the main menu's computer. I thought it was a nice touch. Now, the bad. Unfortunately given the game's age, it is very unlikely that any of these items could be worked on but it would've been nice if they had been addressed back then. Back to main menu. Options doesn't really offer options. Important settings like volume for music and sound were not added. Also no option to toggle between windowed of full screen. Not many language options either but it's understandable if it is a small developer. It makes sense to include their main language (or a favorite secondary) and English since its mostly the standard these days. The only other option available is to delete the save data. - Language, delete and credits. Nothing more. Keeping with the topic of menu, I mentioned I liked the creative way the menu and game interactions simulated using a computer. The bad part here was in the inventory. At first glance I didn't even understand it was inventory or what the screens were for. I didn't understand it either when opening a drawer or a box until I saw an item in one of them. I had to stare for a few second but then it clicked. It was a learning curve but I managed to get it early enough in the game. After that, it really didn't bother me, but it would've been nice to have a small tutorial or an explanation somewhere. When it comes to game controls, it desperately needed sprint. The character moves at a very slow pace. Out of the roughly 50 minutes it took me to finish the game, possibly 15-20 were spent walking. There were some item combinations and interactions that after they were done, didn't really do anything. I didn't understand and felt unsure if I had missed something but after digging a bit, they just didn't do anything. I think there's no point to add an interaction if it will be pointless to the game and story. For the story, even with the small intro narrative, it didn't feel like there was a story while playing the game. I expected ambient storytelling but it just didn't flow or connect the dots to anything. The game's price of $4.99 USD is a bit high given the content and play time. At the moment of posting this review, the game is on sale at $1.99 USD which is a very adequate price. If you are interested or curious, now is the time to get it. The developer was extremely generous and gave me the last two chapters to try out and review as well. Unfortunately I do not own the second chapter and feel unsure if its one I should skip given its part of the story. I am still debating if to skip it or not for the next review. I still choose to recommend the game, even with its flaws, because in the end I enjoyed it and had fun playing it. I hope you do too.
