A cozy puzzle game in the guise of a deckbuilder. You explore an island, scanning the surroundings for prominent objects and clicking on them to add new cards to your deck. Mechanically, it's as simple as that, but there is a fun narrative backstory to this straightforward process. There is an illusion of a small yet open world, but, in fact, you need to visit certain areas and unlock specific cards to have a chance to defeat enemies later on. The battles are surprisingly interesting. When confronting enemies, you need to figure out a viable strategy and modify your deck accordingly. Unlike most deckbuilders where you start with a basic deck and gradually upgrade it with new, more powerful cards, here, even starter cards can be essential to make the deck work. The music is atmospheric and never annoying, and the visuals are... well, take a look at the screenshots. In general, given the asking price, this is a steal.
A nice, short card game experience with a unique mechanic for getting cards. The learning curve isn't steep, but there's no real need to do optional fights after completing the main story. In fact, I'm convinced that some of the optional fights aren't possible to beat. Outside of that, it's a good 3 hour play that's worth the money.

Entertaining card battler game with a simple map and style. The creature design is very creative. But i came to a game breaking bug at the later stage of the game. In a fight vs a orange bornfire, whenever i tryed to add warmth to my pool, it vanised instantly for no reason. So i couldnt progress anymore coz i couldnt beat the opponent. Otherwise good game.

Enjoyable novel game
I'm really enjoying it! Is basically a puzzle game masquerading as a deckbuilder but that means that there is way more emergence then a regular puzzle game would have (card draws are still random for both you and the opponent). Deck composition and scouting all the enemies to figure out how the deck must be built is so much fun! I really wish there were more features such as a display for remaining cards in deck for both players, see how many cards are in the hand of the opponent and a way to rematch previous fights with maybe a look at their decklist for added bonus. Overall I rec it and I'm hyped for Magic of Spring
I blindly went into this game, without expecting much after the beginning. Things... immediately changed when I arrived at the main island of the game that works as a giant hub, and the awesome music of changed to a pace of battle. The card battle system was a little confusing at first, but it only took me 3 or 4 tries to learn it; it is pretty well thought and the management of the deck it's super easy, same as the battles once you know how to play. There are many surprises and many cards that you won't expect will be able to be conjured, and the pace of the game it's overall relaxing. I recommend this game for any gamer that like indie card games with a simple twist of the formula, it worth the price, and I can't praise enough the amazing soundtrack.
If you like deck-building card games with interesting ideas, giving Magic of Autumn a chance is highly recommended. The melancholic atmosphere and unique way of collecting cards in the hub world make it really special. It's also worth to mention that despite the humble price the game can keep you busy for a surprising amount of hours. Most of the fights are pretty challenging and usually you won't be able to defeat the enemies without building a well thought out deck, so there is a plenty of room for experimenting. For me the biggest appeal of the game is the choice of theme though. While other deck-building games often just follow the usual sci-fi and fantasy cliches, Magic of Autumn has a lot more "down to earth" cards too. Maybe it's just me - but there is something special seeing a birch tree or a scarecrow going into battle for you against a ghost. Definitely recommended.
Its smol and very cute game :3
