Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 24 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Decent enough for what it is but the vehicle levels are IMMENSELY frustrating and not fun for me.
Retro style game that reminds of of Spy hunter, Contra, Commando, and Jackal
6/10 Machine Gun Fury is an alright throwback to the 90s run and gun shooter like contra or shock troopers, sporting 5 top down levels and 3 side view. The gameplay is about what you would expect if you have played other games from that era, and comes with an arcade mode (5 lives and gameover) and a standard mode (one life but infinite continues) with 3 difficulties, so its accessible to both vets and newcomers. The action is enjoyable enough to earn a reccomendation if you have already played all the top tier games from that genre and still want more, but it does have issues. For one, its only an hour long. Yeah thats kinda par for the course but its still worth mentioning. Another issue, is there is no strafe or aimlock, which makes dodging bullets in the top down levels trickier than it needs to be. Also, there are issues with walls. Some of them you can shoot through and others you can't with no rhyme or reason. And then there are some enemies can shoot through but you can't. Weapon and health placement is also very uneven. Still, its worth picking up on sale.

Recommended, but only if it's a good sale. The game isn't bad, but it lacks both balancing and cohesion. You have three overhead run 'n gun levels (think Commando), except the first two are just carnage, while the last one is a base with key cards and bombs to find, so it's more action-adventure; three side-scroller levels, but again the last one has adventure elements; one Jackal-style vehicle level, and one pretty bad boat level. It feels like too many genres in the same game without a proper unifying thread. I think what could have worked well is to scrap the "arcade" pretension (it doesn't work with the longer, more "adventure" levels anyway) and have little sections at the HQ where you walk around and talk to your fellow officers, get a little mission briefing, etc. It would have made the game come together more. As far as the lack of polish, the biggest issue in general is that in the harder levels, you just can't see what's ahead of you and you end up getting shot from offscreen. First, the camera doesn't stay focused on you, it drags behind, which is dumb, and second, maybe don't allow enemies to fire at you before they're on-screen? Or give you a way to look ahead. Still, there are some fun parts, it's just a pretty rough and incoherent package.
I can't get my controller to work with it. The music is really bad. It's just a rip off of Ikari Warriors.
If you enjoyed playing games like Commando and Green Beret in the arcade, then this is for you.
Machine Gun Fury is the type of game that's inspired by some of your favorites back in the day (if you had an NES at least!). Jackal, Contra, Ikari Warriors just to name a few. It has some similar design and mixes it up throughout the game. They all looked nice, controlled great and were really fun to play through. Except maybe the boat level, that one wasn't anything special. There's a few difficulty options and both a story mode and arcade mode so any skill of player should be able to play through this without too much trouble. If you enjoy the classics, I think you'll enjoy this one. https://youtu.be/4lyX8kfZflU
