Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 18 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Just like the terrible two part Idol Magical Girl Chiru Chiru Michiru visual novel that was licensed by Sekai Project (I might review that which I wasted money on and I cannot believe all of the favorable reviews it got), the trailer for this game promises far more thrills and excitement than what the game actually delivers, and this game obviously was put together as quickly as possible with a very low budget. And Good Lord, this game feels like it took the entirety of one whole weekend to program and put together with how much little effort that was put into it. The only decent thing is the graphics and models (sans Corona's chest jiggles), and the cutscene stills of the characters. However, the latter is lacking as the cutscenes only have characters in one pose, and even some of enemy designs are stupid, with Nova's first form looking like some stupid Pokémon rip-off. Corona herself also looks like a rip-off of both Cure Heart and Cure Miracle from both Doki Doki and Mahou Tsukai Precure, respectfully. Gameplay wise, it's a poorly done musou (Dynasty Warriors style game) where the gameplay is repetitive, you can't run nor jump bringing back flashbacks of Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue for the Nintendo 64, all the backgrounds/settings, whilst nicely detailed and rendered, are just generic forest/castle backgrounds that eventually take place indoors and look the same, there's not much in terms of the game, you just run forward, shoot, occasionally reload and press a button to do an ultimate special attack or use other buttons to summon minions, and the controls respond well, but once you know how to do it, it all becomes way, way way too easy to where you don't even need the amulet special attack, once I easily killed a dragon boss whilst summoning one of four minions you can summon (for defense, long range attacks, healing and close up attacks, with the Zodiac signs of Aries, Taurus, Gemini and Cancer meaning nothing) and I didn't even notice I had killed it. Leveling up doesn't mean anything in the long run as I did not die once at all as if you spawn enough healing minions you don't have to worry at all, and currency in the form of jewels is easy to come by. While the amulet attacks are OK, the whole thing with combining staffs, getting new ones and discarding unwanted old ones makes it too easy and doesn't even matter as most of the staffs play similar to one another and are just different jewel skins. Also, each stage is over very quickly, when you'd rather a stage to last somewhat longer, maybe go to actually different places or trek across lands/stages with all sorts of obstacles and puzzles, like say, in The Hobbit game from 2003 or the first three Harry Potter games (speaking of that franchise, there's even Venomous Tentaculai here, though none as challenging or intimidating as the ones in the first two games in that series)! Those games are definitely old now, but still superior. I mean c'mon, give us a challenge here! Enemies just consist of slimes which you'd expect to just be first level enemies, not all throughout, along with generic wolves, bees, and other monster enemies, all just in different colors. Even the final boss, the second form of Nova, is too pathetic of a challenge, because it just summons the same cookie cutter enemies you've fought and shoots a pattern of heat-seeking red lights...which you can easily avoid. One such annoyance even shows how bad the quality of this game is. In the second level inside the castle when mostly invisible reaper enemies appear, I ended up running through the level in a way similar to how the great Angry Video Game Nerd described the level of Dracula's Castle in Castlevania II: Simon's Quest as I thought there were no enemies, and after like 5 minutes of slowly walking, I hit a dead end as I was supposed to kill the enemies. Naturally I reset the level so I wouldn't have to stagger back, but when I repeated it and found the enemies, it just stopped when I killed them, so what's the point of having the long level where you travel all the way through if you just have to kill the enemies? It might as well just take place in one spot, and shows a waste of graphics. There's not much in terms of voice acting, characters only saying one word and not reading out their dialogue, and even story wise, it's not very well written nor done, the characters and story all having the quality of an unfinished 2-3 episode anime OVA from the 1980's-1990's, none of the concepts of a Jewelmaster or the things with Machina and minions, world building/lore, and ideas here are fully developed to where it's interesting, Corona is a bland Mary Sue who always just seems to be happy and could easily join the Care Bears Family, the history of her mother and Arcturus Noah are as murky as swamp water at best, the story is rushed with no sense of any real accomplishment or purpose, and despite it opening the door to a sequel, I don't see that happening, like how most of those 2-3 episode OVAs ended. It all ends up being one of the most shallow games I've ever played. It's also way too short, I beat it in round about 3 hours in just two days, whilst another Youtuber beat it in only 107 minutes, for a game that cost US$17-18, can you say "rip-off" or "highway robbery?" It's not worth that amount of money at all, and it overally it's equal to what AVGN (mentioning him again) said about Bubsy 3D, it feels unfinished, like it was barely started at all, and more like a demo or prototype, not an actual finished game that got sold. That whole excuse with the "Oh, we had a micro budget so we can't make the game deep or great" doesn't work either, and this shovelware would be at best $1 or might as well not even cost anything. So all in all, if you like magical girls/anime and manga, RPGs and such, don't bother with this. This is the second Sekai Project licensed game that has disappointed me greatly. And since I found out they also licensed the overrated Nekopara series (with creepy lolicon fanservice), I'm avoiding any future games from this publisher. But there is another great thing: the short length actually isn't that bad, because you can return the game to the Steam store on the same day you buy it ;)
Pros

Nice 2d artwork
Voice acting

Cons

Gamecube-era 3d graphics... in a game released in 2020
Weak, super basic story and characterization
Gameplay is super vanilla, repetitive, and requires little thought
Feels unfinished, due to the above (as well as the original asking price)

Verdict
While cute, it's very lackluster. It was also pretty dumb for this game to have voice acting (nice as it was), given how... 1) The IP isn't that popular 2) This game is a huge letdown, given the original asking price Unless the voice actors were volunteers, it was a waste of money on the devs' part to hire them. I'd recommend getting this game on sale when it dips to around 5 USD.

Machina of the Planet Tree -Unity Unions- is definitely not the greatest game of all time, and while the somewhat obvious lack of variety in gameplay does make you wonder how the game came to fruition, I do think this is an enjoyable game if you're into PvE with a Diablo-esque style of shuffling weapons/equipment around constantly. It's actually fairly fun to experiment with different equipment builds to challenge yourself in the otherwise lacking content of the game. --Pros-- + Gameplay is pretty simple to understand and master quickly + Equipment building is pretty fun + Able to experiment with different play-styles based on said equipment building + Quick game to finish, easy to pick up and set down as needed + Minions are a fun mechanic that ties into the story somewhat + Main character is cute --Cons-- - Game is not worth the $19 full price unfortunately, pick it up when it's on sale though! - After you beat the main story, if you're interested in playing the game again for difficulty-related achievements, (1) harder difficulties don't supersede easier ones (meaning you need to play every level on every difficulty) and (2) inventory management becomes the biggest time investment which can be a real slog - Story is extremely inconsequential and can be ignored/skipped entirely - While I praise the equipment building, some traits/equipment are just vastly better than others at a core level, so it may get boring after a while - Not easy to compare equipment, can't combine/craft amulets like you can staves.

TL;DR version: The game is "just alright." I intend to finish the main story, but only because I paid for it. It's not really worth the money, but it's not a terrible game. It would SEEM better if it was on the original PlayStation or maybe PSP system instead of PC. Or maybe if this was the year 1998 it would seem like a better game. And really the combat system is so different from other games that it almost feels like it's fresh... But this is 2022 and compared to modern games this game does kind of stink. But if you can get it for free or for super cheap, then you will get a few hours of fun out of it probably. And now for specific details... Graphics are chunky and crude - not ugly, just very very dated. Go look the game up on YouTube to see what I mean. There is almost no variety in the type of enemies you fight. Bunch of giant slime monsters, some wasps, some wolves. Not much else really. Minibosses are just BIGGER versions with more HP. Music is ANNOYINGLY BAD, I recommend playing with the sound OFF. Voice acting is pretty bad, and some lines feel like they SHOULD be voiced but they are not while others feel like they don't need voice-over but they have it anyway. Story is simple, path LOOKS like you can go exploring side areas BUT YOU CANNOT it is actually very linear - just follow the line of monsters until you reach the end of the level. The environment is quite bare - you're supposed to be in a forest but there are only maybe a dozen trees in the whole region, and you never get to explore the town so the world just feels empty. But the actual combat is decent!! You play a girl with a magical staff and a magical summoned partner. You can equip a different staff to change not only your attack power, but also the type of attacks you can do. And there is a decent variety of different types of staff for you to try out until you find your favorite kind of attack spell. Plus you get to wear an accessory of some kind (like an amulet I think) that adds additional magic spells and additional buffs to your normal attacks. It is a FPS shooter but you use your magic wand instead of a gun. Combat is quite simple: just aim and shoot, then back off when you run out of MP to let it reload. Dodge enemy attacks so you don't die. BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE - after you gain your magical partner you can also summon ROBOT DRONES (one is a heal-bot, one does melee fighting, one does ranged fighting, one will act as a tank to defend the other drones) and you can summon up to 20 of them to start with, that number can be increased as you progress through the game. Once you get your drone army, let them do most of the work. Bottom line: combat is DIFFERENT from other games but controls are still nice and simple, graphics are "meh", sound/music are not very good, enemy variety is not so great, story is lackluster. Buy it for cheap on sale, or skip this one. It is a little bit of fun, but there are better games you could be spending your money on.
This is quite an unusual game that surprisingly gave me a lot of fun. While being very simplistic on the surface with about a 1.5 hour initial play-through, it offers 5 difficulty levels that offers valuable replay-ability. There are a decent amount of weapons to obtain, with bonuses that can be crafted to your liking, along with various amulets, that each have a unique master skill and 2 additional sub skills, with their own bonus stats. The protagonist's name is Corona, so it's a must buy right there! (and she's cute when shaking her toosh during special skills too!) Important note: This game starts getting fun on hard mode or above, extreme is definitely fun and challenging! if you only play through normal mode, unfortunately you're missing out what makes this game great. Positives: - Cute protagonist with booty shaking during skill usage. - Music is cute!! The 2 battle themes are catchy, they're not bad at all! There's about 5 tracks and additional ones during the cutscenes you will never hear after you complete the story. - Lots of weapons (or I should say staffs). Each gem based weapon has 3-4 variants, this is really addictive trying out all of them, it will take you 10 hours I think just to find at least one of each type (some are rarer than others). - Amulets, which compliment weapons and give 3 skills and 2 buffs, there's only about 5ish but the skills are random so there's much to collect as you try to get the perfect one you like. - Level up system. While your character doesn't level up you can level up all 4 minion types to lvl 99, your HP to lvl 99, and the amulets/weapons drop up to lvl 99 on extreme difficulty. - Difficulty is nice, complete the game on normal to unlock, hard, very hard and extreme, which in my opinion, extreme is the most fun and you get the best drops! Negatives: - Resolution supports up to 1080p!! - The game will look jaggy. There's seems to be no way to enable anti-aliasing even using the GPU control panel, shadows flicker on mountains sometimes. - In one of the early stages there is a bug I kept running into in the forest where on the map it shows there is one enemy left over but it's not there and you will need go back to menu and redo it.
