"Luna's Light" is an underappreciated action platformer game with metroidvania elements and souls like world progression system. You play as a young huntress that has to help her village so she sets out to the post-apocalyptic world... Danger awaits her... Can you make it to the end?... The game offers various biomes (worlds) that greatly differ between them. As you progress, things become more and more difficult and the enemies more deadly. You can collect new gear and upgrade your character. It's very cute the way you do so though... It's part of the story and a great way to meet side characters as well! They use some pretty funny dialogue^^ Your weapons have abilities that will help you navigate through the world. The different bolts make for interesting moments! Go across lengthy gaps by using your rope arrow or blast the rocks with a bomb arrow, short circuit or jump start a passage by hitting the box with an electricity arrow and so on. You can rest, save, heal and replenish your ammo at the fire spots. The placement of those spots has been done well; they are neither too far apart or too frequent, so the game doesn't lose its difficulty but isn't becoming a cake walk either! You'll never have infinite arrows so you'll need to depend and on your melee weapon as well! And it will require strategy and aiming skills. The graphics are rather simple and could use some work but it makes up for it with a really interesting gameplay. Simplistic menu and interface. The music is fine. Exceptional hitboxes and accuracy! From the arrows, to melee attacks, to jumps, etc. It might not look like it but it has been done exceptionally well and it's always consistent. It's a marvellous indie game! What I would like to see in a future update is more detailed equipment description and an easier to read map. In addition to the map, it would be great if we had more directional hints as, due to the viewpoint of the world, we can't see well enough to understand and remember the way. It uses the dark souls system of saves and unlocking shortcuts but it could be more convenient to the player. The overall difficulty is fine. It's not a breeze but it isn't excruciating either. It is harder than your typical action platformer, although, the more you play it (and die), the better understanding of your surroundings you have and with a better understanding of how things work, it becomes easier. Try it out! It's really charming and you'll fall for its sweetness even though darkness surrounds it. I'd love to see more quality indie games like this one! There is enough content for the price tag and it will keep you entertained for long. Well done! For more reviews, follow my curator https://store.steampowered.com/curator/44864435-Mewesome-Reviews/

Отлична милая метроидвания в котором можно поиграть! Рисовка приятная, хотя конечно первый босс-паук очень сложны показался. Сюжет простенький но интересненький. Стоит покупать)))
8\10 bees Funny drawings and soundtrack🤩👌 playable on steam deck🥰🥰
This is more of a cautionary recommendation, and one of those times I wish there was a middle ground in the review system. After playing and completing Luna's Light I have to say this was a very tricky experience for me to review since, even though the game has its shortcomings, at the same time I found myself very absorbed during my playthrough. As always, I created a video review containing footage and commentary that you can watch by following this link: https://youtu.be/PzpZn__oQKI For those who do not wish to watch the video: My Game Time: Three and a half hours. Completion Rate: 98% Pros: - Incredibly charming pixel-art style. - Great lore and world-building. - Interesting approach to ability gated exploration where, instead of actual abilities, you gain access to previously inaccessible areas by finding different types of arrows (exploding, electric, roped, etc). - Worthwhile collectibles that vastly improve your character and make your life easier (stronger weapons, larger arrow capacity, more health vials, better armor). - Some nice touches in combat, though here we also have cons, as explained below. - Side quest system that gives more meaning to exploration. - Some decent boss fights. - Serviceable fast travel system. Cons: - On the short side, length-wise. - The story doesn't reach its full potential, considering the interesting world it takes place in. - Combat can be a bit tricky since you can't move and shoot at the same time, only jump, which can leave you vulnerable during some of the more intense battle sequences. - Lackluster animations when it comes to the main character, making the whole thing appear quite janky. - New equipment found doesn't clearly state the pros and cons it may provide, leaving it up to observation for you to completely understand the positives and negatives. - Even though some backtracking is necessary for 100% completion, the overall experience is very linear, taking away a good deal from the joy of discovery. - Map design lacks ingenuity. - The melee attack can be a bit tricky to pull off without getting hurt due to its short range. This is a great first outing for the developer! I'm definitely keeping an eye out for their future work!

I can't recommend at this point. Game is cute and it is a shame to admit it... But controls and handling feel terrible. It is sad because you can feel a lot of efforts in general and on the design too. But it is bad executed. You will die again and again versus bosses because it is not precise, it feels clunky and overall collisions are not always equally accurate. And more of that, when you already played great platformers... There are so much games better than this one. Add to that a very poor translation where i think you get better results with any web translation tool.
Short but fun
Small adventure with not too many, but fleshed out mechanics, making this a great entry point for everyone who wants to get into the Metroidvania genre. Can be 100% in 3-4 hours, so its also priced at a fair price. Great for everyone new to the genre. Small little fun time for everyone accustomed to the genre. Very worth to buy!
Cute cozy game. Not easy to play. Cool artwork. Work on steamdeck.
I really wanted to like this game but the i frames after getting hit feel horrible and the spider boss felt cheap.
