Lovely Planet Remix extends the original game with a variety of drastic variations that impose restrictions like no mid-air control, no jumping, slower movement & bullet drop among others in the vein of older retro shooters with non-standard control schemes, some of which are designed intentionally to be unwieldy, cumbersome and annoying to play by modern standards. Please try the demo to sample the different styles before purchasing the game.

Another installment of the Lovely Planet series. Just like the other games this one looks all fun and casual at first. Until it gets excruciatingly difficult. This cutesy little game will challenge your first-person gaming skill and push you to your limits. It's still entirely doable though.
Absolutely fantastic. Every mode is fun as heck, even the ones that are supposed to be annoying and "unfair". Level design tops the other games in the franchise, making even the most tricky parts of the levels consistent and satisfying to beat with clever movement and timing.

underrated
Lovely Planet has received so many mediocre sequels and spinoffs that it's hard to believe they finally made one that was good, but here we are. This is an amazing Lovely Planet experience that newcomers and veterans alike can enjoy. If other installments in the franchise put you off, this game will bring you back in. The gameplay, music, and aesthetics are all at the same level of quality as the original game.
More Lovely Planet! Pretty difficult. More game modes besides just classic that all add their own twist to the game. Some of the modes deliberately take control away from you and otherwise makes the experience more challenging, and sometimes that can be frustrating and you might not like all game modes. Jelly being a good example. Instead of snappy aiming, your gun is now jelly, meaning that camera movement will cause the gun to "sling" in different directions. You also can't move while jumping. It's not my favourite mode but it offers a unique challenge you don't see anywhere else in this series. My favourite modes are probably tactical (fast bullets, can't shoot or move while jumping), mountains (fast bullets, double jump), and tunnels (hitscan, dungeon-crawl). So far there is only one playlist each for mountains and tunnels, but more could always be added later. You can turn off the deliberately low-res graphics in settings. PSX filter = off. If you like Lovely Planet, go for it. It's good. If it's your first foray into Lovely Planet, LP 1 and 2 could be an easier introduction. Or just go for it. Up to you.
THE most bang for your buck Lovely Planet game to date. 1 is a classic, but start on remix. The best visuals in the series, the most varied gameplay of the series, the most polished of the series, god I love everything about this game. AND, it's tough >:)
Lovely Planet 2 is a better game to get into the series with but this game is still pretty solid. Fast gameplay and unique ideas. I wish the levels were mixed together instead of being categorized.
Lovely Planet continues to be very lovely, and sadly continues to be very underrated as well. The Lovely Planet series is simply a joy in all aspects. Gameplay - Excellent, addictive, challenging. Controls are very responsive and tight. Music - Phenomenal and catchy as ever Graphics/Style - Cute, unique, and beautiful To me the LP franchise has always blended that time trail element of games like the "Trials" series, or the trackmania games which have always been super addictive and translated that into FPS format. And, as ever, the style is very reminiscent of the Katamari franchise which is a very huge win as that is one of my favorite franchises in gaming. This entry into the LP series has us tasked with getting used to different weapons and conditions that shake things up from the usual gameplay of LP. The noodle gun, no directional air control mid jump, different bullet velocities and more. This offers a fresh and unique challenge that those who are already accustomed to the franchise will enjoy. If someone out there is somehow reading this and thinks this game looks cool please just buy it and give it a shot. I truly believe it deserves your time if youre the type that likes the previously mentioned time trial type of gameplay. Or even if you don't still give it a chance this game is challenging and rewarding in a way that a lot of games have given up on in favor of showering the player with praise as they accomplish absolutely nothing.
don't listen to the negative reviews. if you're looking for fun competition between friends, this is the game. if you're looking for fun competition with strangers, this is still the perfect game. it offers so many creative modes and mechanics that, while some may not be for everyone, there is certainly something for everyone.
Another great Lovely Planet game, but this time with some really great new mechanics. Absolutely love the variety of weapon / movement combos. Tunnels is truly awesome. If you like mechanically pure shooting, this is an excellent experience!
