Um, hi? Literally shut up and buy the game I want Tank carnally.
Alright, I've finally finished what has been released so far with the story, I feel I can say something now. TL;DR: It's good. Please play it. Visual Novels normally don't interest me, mainly because (as far as I can tell) VNs tend to have a repuation for being quickly-made low-effort cashgrabs with no real substance or love put into them. Love Exalt 8372 is not one of those games whatsoever. I went into this game only knowing it follows two gay guys getting themselves into a mystery-type scenario with 10 other people. I came out of it with one of the most story and lore-rich, heart string-tugging, hilarious, and complex experiences I've ever had with a visual novel. You keep wanting to come back for more, to see how the characters develop with and alongside each other while being stuck in a nightmare hell, not only because gay people are adorable and cute and adorable together but because the story really leaves you processing a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of stuff at the end of every session in the best way possible. And you'll end up laughing your ass off and then sitting there covering your mouth because oh my god ♥♥♥♥ just got real what the ♥♥♥♥????? aaaaa its so gooooood i cantttt AND THERES ADORABLE GAY PEOPLE MY HEART I CANT :sob: And honestly? It's not just the story; I'm even going to take a second to say that the minigame mechanics are honestly kinda cool and keep ya engaged. For example (spoilers ahead),
healer fishing minigame and his outfit my beloved and LIKE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ACE ATTORNEY WHAT??????
. There's also just fun little secrets and silly things and lore hidden around it's genuinely super neat. It's all just absolutely magnetizing even within the first 10-20 minutes of reading which is why I had wanted to play this game even before it was gifted to me. I also won't say I don't have my issues with some of the mechanics being personally hard to get used to, especially since I'm a fast reader and may not notice something I was supposed to click on before it's too late and you can't go back until the end of the current scene which get longer and longer as the game progresses. Navigation at times is, for lack of a better term, unexplained and unforgiving imo..? There's also no fullscreen yet which does genuinely kinda suck...... My point is: please play the demo at LEAST. See what I'm talking about, and then please buy the full game and play through it because it only gets better from there (your save carries over from the demo btw).
and also enki my beloved
gay furries AND murder mysteries? hell yeah brother pump it into my veins
Good story so far, cute characters and its furry. what not to love! I suck at the minigames you can do, but other than that the games golden <3
i'm not done yet but this game is making it really hard to decide between playing the next chapter and sleeping
I love this game. I found it through suggestions based on my interest in other similar games like danganronpa and The zero escape series. If you like these games or other death games like them, you may enjoy this one. High content warning on furry and LGBT. Honestly if you are reading this and on the fence and this is what turns you away you never were gonna play in the first place.
This has so much content if you like lore, a coherent story, and unpredictable twists you see all the clues to in hindsight. Also cute guys.
This is my first death game, and hot damn! It really makes me consider daganronpa (and even ace attourney a bit) now after finishing the content we've got (Act 2 Scene 1 at the time of writing.) It's such a blast and has some wonderful sprite work and background visuals, the music is punchy and suits the game's moment to moment gameplay. There's so much here to fawn over and quite frankly, I think it's super underrated. I have seen very few people talk about this, only reason I heard about it was stumbling upon Kieth Ballard's look at the game on his youtube. I saw that, watched the trailer and immediately got hooked.
I will cry if anything happens to healer and chef
If you like death games, you're going to like this, bonus points: always loved teeeeeeeeeext animatiooooooooons!
