Lost In Space - The First Adventure

Oh dear! Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear!! This is going to be quite good. Quite good indeed! Only a ninnyan nincompoop would pass up the chance to play this game!!! URGH!!!! You nearly scared me half to death you bucket of bolts creeping up on me!! I'm trying to talk to the audience. Now leave me be!!!

1. The controls are lacking. Controller? For a PC game? Maybe I'm just an old-timey loser, but I use a mouse and keyboard with my PC, a controller on my console. 2. Several places where the controls locked, especially during a puzzle, making it impossible to proceed. 3. Once started, puzzles don't seem to be able to be backed out of, only skipped - but thank GOD for that skipping feature. 4. The "puzzles" are nothing but trial and error code sequences with no hints or clues anywhere. 5. Several places where the camera angles were weird, making it difficult to see important, actionable items. I played the demo and really enjoyed it...but it was like that was the highlight reel of the entire game and all the parts that were left out could've been skipped.

I grew up with this Show, Loved it. I think that having the Original Theme Tune and True Characters voices Cements this as a must have game for anyone who loved Lost in Space. Game is a little short, but i hope the Devs continue to do the follow up episodes. What is here is a lot of fun and keeps very faithful to the spirit of the TV series. You can see Someone in the Dev dept is a Very real Fan of this old iconic favourite and has put a lot of effort into making this game look and feel like the Show. I think personally they pulled it off. Thank you for Making the Game.

I've been waiting so long for this game!! I met the dev team at a convention awhile back before it was released and played a few minutes of it then! I can easily say the full release has been SOOOO worth the wait!! The game looks incredible, the character voices are spot on, the scenery looks almost spot on from the show, the puzzles are really fun, and the story feels like a Lost in Space episode!! The character mannerisms and voicing are SO accurate to the original characters I am so impressed. My nostalgia is so happy right now. The devs did such an amazing job with this game and I really hope they continue to make more!!

I love the cozy old timey feel, and the puzzles are actually fun because they are short and simple, but still require you to think for a hot second, or minute, or longer than I'm going to admit... those crates got me Worth it, I recommend, gonna save some gameplay for later =)

I liked the use of voice lines from the show and I thought the animation was good. I liked the settings and exploring the interior of the Jupiter 2. Some of the puzzles felt more like trial and error and brute force than puzzling and I feel like without those it would be a much shorter experience. In the next chapter I would like to see more sequences like the opening of the game where it was combining items and finding uses. Overall, a very faithful Lost in Space experience and clearly a labor of love. I loved how the robot's arms moved when you ran him around. :)

if you like a combination of puzzles and inventory based adventure games you will like it. Also if your a fan of lost in space you will find a lot to like.

So, short story here, but I actually played the demo at the LVL Up Expo 2024 and got to talk with the Dev about this game. It was a little peculiar memory as the developer (I believe it was Dustin) was standing next to a cutout of what looked like himself. I thought to myself, who is this crazy lad who put himself in his own game and brought a cutout of himself to the LVLUP Expo? I would come up to see the game myself for my own curiosity, then to my own surprise. It was actually a cutout of Dr.Smith from the Lost in Space series! It honestly shocked me that it wasn't a self-insert, and I had never heard of the series before, but it definitely got me interested in this game, and I knew I had to check it out after that. Fast forward to now, to 2026, and this game shows up in my store page on steam and memories came back to me of that experience. So I decided to buy the game, and it's honestly not a bad purchase. I only played the demo back then. But I was taken aback by how charming the characters were and how it just felt like a vintage television series turned into a game format. You can definitely see the inspiration behind the game, and it carries a lot of that charm in the interactions. The game itself is a Puzzle Adventure game, that is, I wouldn't say revolutionary, but nostalgic as it feels somewhat reminiscent of old school puzzle adventure games in the past. It's nice game if you are a fan of the puzzle adventure genre. Which I am, I had some fun with this game with some of its interesting.... Although let me be a bit frank, there is a gate puzzle section at the end of this game that will make you tear your hair out for how tedious and repetitive it. I will now forever hate the "gate wheel puzzle" and the "tile grid puzzles" that show up way too much for a final section. I would have loved to have seen more creative puzzles than to have to repeat those puzzles for the tenth time. other than that. I overall enjoyed the game and would recommend it to people. This is definitely a hidden gem of a game; it honestly has a lot of love to give to the original show. I would love to see more tie-in games treat their source material with the same level of care and respect that this game demonstrates.
