Truly I am insane about this game; I love it so much.

Another reminder that RPG maker is as legitimate of a game engine as any other. Look Outside managed to seamlessly transition survival horror mechanics into an RPG format, coupled with beautiful sprite-work, an entrancing soundtrack, and clever writing, making for a full-course experience that can be replayed for various different endings. The gameplay, environments and story was a breath of fresh air from start to finish. My expectations were challenged and surmounted at every turn. I never stopped finding new things at the rate I did when I first launched the game. It is not often that a game manages to make me feel a spectrum of emotions. Fear. Laughter. Grief. Sadness. Anger. Empathy. This game managed to do it when many AAA titles could not. Speaking of which, this 2D RPG managed to elicit more genuine terrified reactions out of me than many AAA horror games have. If you love body-horror, you are in no short supply of it here. If you love resource-management, be prepared. Lore? Plenty. A challenge? Absolutely. As much as I wish I could play this game for the first time again, there is at least so much replayability, as you can miss so many possible scenes, items, allies and encounters each decision you make. Not to mention there are multiple gamemodes and difficulties, and many endings. Seriously one of my favorite games ever I believe. Definitely one of my favorite RPG's as of now.

absolutely phenomenal! the music, the art, the sound effects... every single thing is absolutely perfect. it's everything you want from a horror turn based rpg maker game, absolute 10/10s across the board!! it's surprisingly incredibly heartfelt too and values the connections you make. it's just as much of a survival game as it is helping others survive, and those who can help each other do! but seriously, as well, the designs and art are SICK. like, some of the best i've ever seen! if this game came out earlier it would be a cult classic, but i'm glad I got to experience it now. (shoutout to jerma recommending this game, it's definitely been worth it)
