About
Long Gone Days is a JRPG set in the real world about human connection during war, focusing on civilians, language barriers, and borders.
Follow Rourke, young man trained from birth to be a sniper for The Core— a subterranean paramilitary state.
On his first mission, he is sent to the surface under orders of great significance. Motivated to finally be able to show the fruits of his training, he carries out his first orders to perfection only to find out that The Core was far from being the noble organization he thought he knew.
A Nuanced Look at War: Experience the clash of modern conflict against civilian life through the contrast of intense RPG combat and slower, slice-of-life gameplay.
Communication is Key: As Long Gone Days is set in the real world, you'll encounter several language barriers. Recruit interpreters in order to communicate with others and forge bonds beyond borders.
Strength in Others: Meet a colorful cast of potential comrades. Grow relationships through your words and actions as you live and fight together.
Keep Morale High: Choose dialogue options wisely to boost morale in battle. Every character has distinct personality traits and motivations.
Strategic RPG Combat: Spot and take down targets from afar in Sniper Mode, or engage up-close in front-view, turn-based combat. Target specific parts of an enemy’s body for a tactical advantage.
No Random Encounters: Every battle is hand-crafted and directly related to the plot. Your choices in battle will shape your party's lives, and the world around them.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

it´s incredible
This game is a total rugpull. If you thought you were going to play an exciting RPG about soldiers on the modern battlefield, guess again… it’s basically an angry leftist simulator with all the basic talking points you see in every “anti war” story. In short: Military bad War bad Authority bad Hierarchy bad Questioning authority good Rebellion ALWAYS good Normal family bad Found family good Imagine playing Call of Duty, or Metal Gear Solid, basically any military themed game, but after they set the scene and you have all this cool military type stuff going on, it quickly switches to a Bong Rip simulator where you have to waste time talking to disgruntled leftists who are living out their fantasy of being chased down by the military? It’s crazy how RPG players will eat this slop up and imagine it’s deep and meaningful. As if ignoring the importance of conflict in human history, even its importance to the human soul, is somehow less important than being an angry anti-authoritarian goofball with no direction in life. Thanks but no thanks. What are the chances that this is another fake “indie” game getting tons of money from NGOs and government sources? Do I even need to take the time to find out? Or is it a safe assumption at this point?
Story is fine , short jrpg , too much yapping at times , no voice acting which is a big minus for me , overall 6/10 buy on sale.
Long Gone Days is an old-school, grounded RPG story, with just as much old-school, grounded RPG gameplay. Sadly, that also makes it feel a bit lacking for the modern day. This is perfectly shown by the game's archaic resolution limit of 1080p. The whole game really feels like it isunapologetically about going back to an older way of playing video games. There is very little tutorial, although to be fair, the game doesn't necessarily need a lot of it. The way its systems work can definitely feel quite old, though. Health and action points don't regenerate at save points, and instead have to be recovered through items, defeated enemies, or the environment. It's a very old-school approach that can take some getting used to. The turn-based combat system itself is very standard, but it does its job. There is a good, moderate challenge, with managing resources like health, items, and action points being a big part of the game. That said, I would say the game is overall pretty light on combat. It's often spaced out, with sections of more and less combat, which gives you a bit of time to breathe and recover your resources. All of this points towards the biggest strength of the game: its really grounded feel. This shines especially through the story. Without spoiling anything: you play as Rourke, a soldier in a cult general's private army sent on a mission for power. The game tackles this maturely and unflinchingly, nationalism, militarism, radicalization. Raising uncomfortable questions and, more importantly, refusing easy answers. It commits to the unease. Overall, Long Gone Days is a game I would recommend for its story and its human element. It is really a game that tries to go for uncomfortable conclusions and actually deals with them in a mature and grounded fashion. The old-school RPG gameplay may feel dated in places, but alongside the story it creates an experience that I enjoyed for what it is.
Beautiful game. Worth replaying for Adair alone. 10/10
