About

Step into spaces that feel familiar—and somehow wrong.
LIMSCAPE is a first-person exploration game about entering quiet liminal spaces and uncovering the meanings hidden within them.
You can simply walk. You can climb, swim, and press farther into the unknown.
Beyond that, you can shape the world with your own hands.
Explore. Create. Leave something behind. LIMSCAPE is a world for meeting space at your own pace.
Begin with five official stages.
Hotels, flood-control facilities, metro stations, pools, offices, and cities—
liminal spaces that feel nostalgic yet uneasy invite you on a quiet journey.
You are not only searching for an exit. Discover the stories within these spaces and the meaning embedded in the world of LIMSCAPE.
The condition for clearing a stage is extremely simple.
Move forward and reach the goal.
That is where everything begins.
Exploration does not end with walking.
Swim, jump, crouch, climb, pick up, and throw—
use your body through simple controls, moving through spaces horizontally and vertically.
At first, walking is enough. As your journey continues, you will find places that can only be reached by climbing, swimming, and leaping across.
In the end, you may realize something.
Why did you keep entering LIMSCAPE and seeking the goal?
What is LIMSCAPE, and what purpose does it hold?
【CREATE AND SHARE】
Another journey begins with your own hands.
"Don't be a pawn, be the hand."
The world does not end when you reach the goal.
Beyond the official stages, another possibility awaits.
—You can create a world with your own hands.
Sandbox Mode lets anyone assemble spaces intuitively and bring them to life.
Place and adjust objects with simple tools
Control light, shadow, and physics as you wish
Edit in real time and create a place of your own
Worlds you create can be saved, exported, and imported.
On LIMSCAPERS, you can publish and share the worlds you create.
Published worlds become shared spaces that others can visit and explore.
Starting with LIMSCAPE 1.62.0, we will also release Multiplay Beta through LIMSCAPERS.
Explore a public world in the same space as other players, or share a private room with people you invite.
From explorer to creator.
LIMSCAPE quietly supports that first step.

【PLEASE NOTE】
What to know before you play
We recommend playing LIMSCAPE on a desktop PC with a dedicated GPU.
Laptops and lower-performance graphics environments may not deliver the intended experience.
Sandbox Mode has depth to master.
However, it is designed for beginners to enjoy step by step,
starting with small worlds and gradually growing a space of their own.
LIMSCAPE is an exploration game,
but it also holds potential as a tool for film work and art projects.
【VISION】
A world does not end with one person.
LIMSCAPE continues beyond exploration and creation.
LIMSCAPE is more than an exploration game.
As a "tool for creating worlds,"
we aim for it to become a place for art, filmmaking, and people sharing the same space.
We also plan to add features that further expand the world of LIMSCAPE, including VR support.
This journey has only just begun.
The worlds you create will expand LIMSCAPE's future.
【SYSTEM COMPATIBILITY NOTES】
LIMSCAPE officially supports Windows PCs with a DirectX 12-compatible GPU. macOS—including CrossOver and Parallels—and Steam Deck are not officially supported or guaranteed to work at this time. Please review the system requirements before purchasing.

This game has a level editor. thats such a genius idea! it opens up the door to endless content like roblox or dreams. imagine having new liminal experiences every day made by talented enthusiasts! this game needs to pick up in popularity already so this feature becomes utilized fully. i highly recommend this, and i recommend you spread the word. i do hope the level editor becomes easier to find, maybe have a main menu option, and i hope a level browser can be done in game. both of these are important for getting this idea recognized and the point across.
The game wants admin rights on your computer. It feelt a bit odd so I refunded it.

I'm sure this game is amazing, but just a heads up, the minimum PC requirements are far off. My laptop is at the minimum and it was unable to configure settings. So, if you don't have a computer that is 2-3 years old or less, skip this game. I really wanted to play it, but unfortunately that doesn't seem to be possible. Developer: Please update the minimum specs for this game so others don't have to go through what I have. :(
A liminal game that you could spend 10hrs just wandering about in and not get bored. Pros: - Large maps. - Well constructed maps that don't seem repetitive. - You can swim underwater, jump, crawl and climb. (Most lim games you can only walk/run in!) - Water ripples! Some of the best lims out there don't even have water ripples when you walk in water - Secrets - Uniquely weird things going on :) Cons: - STILL not optimized for higher res. my 4080 runs at over 90% in high quality! Seriously? This is just a liminal game - Cyberpunk uses less GPU power than this!!!! - Had to go to community to use workaround for fullscreen. As such, i will give the dev a chance to address this and i will keep the positive review - otherwise i will change this to a negative review - as much as it pains me, in the hope that the dev will listen. Definitely worth getting on sale.

Definitely one of my absolute favorite liminal space games. It is a very interactive game that allows you physically to do so much more than most of other games like it. Love the variety of the puzzles/achievements so much! I love chasing after achievements and this game has plenty and I still want more jsut so I have an excuse to play it again! Truely was such an enjoyable game to play and keeps me coming back all the time becasue it even has a platform for creatives to submit their own designs that others can play too further adding to the experience. Love it so much thank you!
One of the best liminal space exploration games.
Pretty fun game to explore that doesn't need to have monsters to be scary. Great game!
I adore this game. I bought it in June after playing the demo, then played through the five official levels, got most of the achievements, and didn't play it again until August. I went back in to get the last achievement, and this time, I got hooked. I went from about 20 hours of gameplay to over 100 in the past two weeks. On the surface, LIMSCAPE looks like just another liminal game, and it does have several of the usual area types - poolrooms, backrooms, hotels, offices. However, even setting aside the ability to create your own maps, LIMSCAPE is different. "Limscapes" seem to be a form of virtual reality one enters by choice as a "user entity," rather than some alternate dimension or afterlife; yet the game gives me the subtle feeling that something isn't right. Scattered, recurring childhood items like toy ducks, bears, and balloon dogs seem like they've been accidentally left behind rather than placed deliberately, and the final stage - the office of Limscape. Co. Ltd. - feels like a sales pitch gone wrong. The game has two endings, each of which leaves much open to interpretation. But what I love most about LIMSCAPE are the Hands: tuxedoed hand-headed gentlemen like the game's mascot. They are recurring NPCs, some carrying screens with different messages but otherwise all visually identical to one another. Yet their animations are used extremely well to make each one feel like a unique individual. I'm not sure if the Hands are meant to function as psychopomps, the Limscapes' version of Clippy-like assistants, or simply inhabitants of these virtual worlds whose paths the user entities happen to cross, but they are
benevolent, oddly endearing, and extremely unlucky. They are frequently the victims of ominous payphones, smiley faces with threatening auras, one of their own kind who is inexplicably textured with carpet instead of skin, and even the player when the game forces you to push them off ledges.
There are a few other, more ominous recurring entities like a number of mannequins and a bilocating vaguely humanoid sculpture I've named Mr. Lump, but nothing that pursues you or does anything worse than look at you funny except for
an unavoidable jumpscare at the end of one stage, which is my only real complaint about LIMSCAPE as it feels very out of place with the rest of the game
. I've only begun to explore the sandbox feature over the past couple weeks because it seemed confusing to me at first. However, it's actually pretty intuitive, and it's especially helpful that editable versions are available for four of the five official stages. By going through those, I've learned how most features work, plus found a couple of well-hidden Hands I'd missed on my regular playthrough. I'm having a lot of fun building my own map, and I have yet to explore all the other user-created maps available on the Limscapers site, so I anticipate spending many more hours with LIMSCAPE.
