Lies of P is a thrilling soulslike that takes the story of Pinocchio, turns it on its head, and sets it against the darkly elegant backdrop of the Belle Epoque era.

I am not a fan of souls like games but i cant stop playing lies of p. I even played it on legendary stalker difficulty first run and when i finished the game it was glorious. 10 out of 10 game. Also the art and style of the game are astonishing.
it sickens me that i can't dodge roll my way through this game I picked this up after finally 100%ing Elden Ring. Mind you, I've ignored the parry mechanic in every game I've ever played. I bravely selected the hardest difficulty without knowing what I was getting into and after dog-walking the first boss, my confidence grew. I was very quickly humbled by a guy in a donkey mask and had to rethink the dodge roll strategy that has carried me through every Fromsoft game in the past decade and a half. Unfortunately, that meant I had to take up the Sisyphean task of learning to parry. Since then, I've completed the game almost twice and nearly completed Overture. Now I can say that after 50-something hours I can reliably parry like 50% of the time! Maybe it's recency bias, but this is one of the best games I've ever played, and definitely one of the best souls-like. The base game is a phenomenal experience on its own, but the DLC added so much to the story that I 100% recommend picking it up as well.
Lies of Peak: Likes: Everything (except Geppetto) Dislikes: Nothing (except Geppetto) Jokes aside, he is a very well-written character. I prefer short and sweet reviews, so here we go: Graphics: 10/10 Gameplay (as a souls-like veteran): 10/10 Soundtrack: 10/10 Achievement requirements: 10/10 Writing: 10/10 World-building/lore: 10/10 DLC: 10/10 Overall story: 10/10 It is not only my favorite souls-like experience, but one of my favorite games. I rank based off of enjoyment-level, not technical stuff. I also never crashed or experienced any bugs. I just had a damn good time. I am full.
:)
I am normally not a fan of soulslikes, but this was a very satisfying game, I don't know if I'll be able to transfer these skills to a "true" souls game but this was a fun 19 hours and can reccommend it for sure
the best soulslike i have ever played. music, combat, atmosphere, visuals, its all just top notch.
a ambientação gótica, sombria e melancólica foi definitivamente o que me ganhou. além do mais, é muito bom para treinar parry.
good
