sad they used generative ai, genuinely liked the game and will no longer be playing it now that I know. :(
“You are forbidden from leaving until all 3,072 books have been returned to their rightful places!” Is that supposed to scare me? Me? A September Virgo, born under the sign of the gods of perfectionism? One of the sharpest eyes, with an unnecessarily strong sense for details? Naaaah. You’re not getting me that easily. Finally, a librarian role where I can take my sweet time and turn 3,072 misplaced books into my own little challenge battle. Romantic fiction, necromancy, destructive magic, curses… you name it. The choice of what to tackle first is yours, but one thing is certain. You are not getting out until everything is where it belongs. And honestly? The whole gameplay loop is surprisingly satisfying. The books have beautiful, often huge covers, different styles and colors, interesting titles, and you constantly pick up little bits of new knowledge while figuring out where everything belongs. Every completed shelf also gives you magic points, which can make the whole process considerably easier. There is one thing I did not care much for. The puzzle organization mechanic gets pretty much overshadowed once you unlock stronger magical elements, so investing points into it feels rather pointless to me. The difference is just too noticeable. And then there is that golden glow when you get everything right. That little moment of everything lighting up is ridiculously satisfying. Add some cozy magical fantasy music and you have yourself a genuinely relaxing experience. Even without using the spells, the game can still score very well. Once you finish the entire library, the story does not really continue, which is a bit of a shame. Still, considering the price, amount of content and overall gameplay, there is plenty to like. After a long time, I finally found a genuinely great chill game. 🧙♀️9/10.🧙♀️ One magic point was unfortunately sacrificed to the spell of exaggeration.
i love playing this but why did we need ai :(
Was already on the fence because of the AI usage. Game doesn't start on Steam Deck - even after multiple changes I only got it to "run" with very low FPS. Will refund.
I didn't realise it used AI when I bought it, I returned the game now. I don't play slop.
Did not know they used Generative AI for this. Which feels really cheap. I do not think this game is complex enough to garner the usage of AI. I would've preferred a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ landscape drawing done in MSPaint. Can't refund it, but I can leave a review.
I didn't see the AI disclosure for this game before I bought it. I would not have purchased it had I seen it. I'm writing a negative review because these are more visible than AI disclosures on a Steam store page. If you read this and decide to buy anyway, at least you're aware of what you're buying.
Cute little cozy game! Super chill and satisfying, especially if you like organizing and cleaning.
Didn't realize this game used AI. So disappointing. :(
Didn't realise it was AI when I bought it. Wouldn't have bought it if I'd known.
