Short fun game with some nice character and walk through variety. The crab tanks were fun. Nice SFX. Some FPS drops later in the game. The bosses were fun too.
Fun platformer. Short but with good replay value from character variety and branching paths. Good challenge overall with fun boss fights. The two monkeys below were annoying though.

There are some random fps drops on level 2. Every 10-15 sec or so. Tried Low settings, no difference.
When paused, Esc make the game quit instead of resume. It was somewhat frustrating losing progress to that. Maybe add 'are you sure?' check for safety.
Would be nice to be able to use M2 for secondary attack since you can shoot with M1.
Lex Talionis A is a really fun little cooperative shooter that surprised me with how much personality it manages to fit into such a compact experience. I take control of one of several very strange aliens fighting their way through astronauts, drones and bosses, and the whole thing has a colorful cartoon style that makes the violence feel more playful than serious. I especially liked that the game is clearly designed around working together instead of simply making me fight through everything alone. The combat is built around fast run and gun action, with each alien having its own unusual abilities. I enjoyed switching between the different characters because they give me different ways to approach the same situation. One character might rely on a ridiculous weapon while another can summon something much more unexpected, and that variety makes choosing who I play feel meaningful. The platforming and shooting also work nicely together, so I am constantly moving while trying to deal with enemies. The cooperative side is easily my favorite part. Playing locally with other people makes the game much more chaotic, especially when there are lots of enemies and attacks happening at once. I liked that everyone has to think about staying alive and not wasting the team's limited chances, because a careless player can make things harder for everyone else. It creates some genuinely funny moments when a simple fight suddenly turns into complete disaster. The presentation is another strong point for me. The hand drawn visuals are colorful and expressive, and the strange alien characters give the game a lot of personality. I also like the contrast between the silly presentation and the revenge story underneath it. There is clearly a dramatic reason for the aliens to be fighting back, but the game never takes itself so seriously that it forgets to have fun. My biggest issue is that there simply is not enough content to make the experience feel like a huge adventure. Once I have played through the available stages and tried the different aliens, I am mainly coming back for multiplayer sessions. I also think the combat could benefit from more enemy variety and more interesting ways to develop the characters during a run. The basic mechanics are fun, but they could support something much larger. Still, I think the focused design works well for a free game. I can jump in with a friend, choose an alien and start blasting through enemies without spending ages learning complicated systems. The difficulty also gives the later sections some tension because the game can become surprisingly hectic once everything starts attacking at once. Overall, Lex Talionis A is a charming and chaotic little cooperative shooter that I had a great time with. I liked the unusual characters, fast combat and colorful presentation, while the local multiplayer gives the game its strongest moments. It definitely feels like there is room for a bigger adventure built around these ideas, but as a free game it is an enjoyable way to spend a short session. Rating: 6.3/10
