Lego Batman is awesome

While this game was pretty fun to go through, especially the story mode, at full price I wouldn't really consider it worth it. For starters this game is pretty buggy and unoptimised, especially when going for all the minikits. Some minikits completely bugged out and required restarting the level to obtain them, and while playing the game, it heated my Steam Deck more than significantly more modern games. Some of the controls don't feel great either and made trying to 100% the game miserable. Still, it IS a lego game, it is still an enjoyable experience and turning on V sync and capping the frame rate (plus a few other fixes) did fix some of the issues. i didn't have many issues during the story mode either, so if you just want to play through story mode, it's definitely a good game, though 100%ing has more frustrating experiences. The story itself is decent, pretty simple in a 'Saturday Morning Cartoon' way reminiscent of the older comic books. There's no dialogue but the game works fine without it. There's lots of characters to play from, and you can make a custom character which is pretty fun. Still the game has a lot of pointless filler characters (Scientist, Joker Thug, etc) to pad out the characters so there isn't a massive variety of popular characters, but your favourite character is likely in there. So if you're gonna grab it I'd recommend getting it on sale instead of paying the full price for it as it usually goes pretty cheap.

Fun Game just like my childhood

I grew up with this game and I was so excited to revisit it after so many years. The intro, the villains, the simplicity that was the first LEGO Batman game just brought back so many memories. I booted up the game and played the first level. It took a second to remember the controls and I got through the first level no problem. Come level 2 and the most bugged ability I've had to deal with: the magnet suit. I've attempted the second level of the Riddler saga so many times and cannot get past the second metal wall. The first one isn't a problem at all but after the glide section, I just get stuck unable to finish the slope with no way to jump or walk further. After a while, I just kept the game uninstalled and disappointed in the bug. After a while, I reinstalled it thinking maybe the issue was the save file. I made a new file, played the first level of the Riddler saga and came to level two, same issue. Disappointed again I looked to see what else I could do. I played the first level of the Joker saga and the Penguin saga. Magnet suit shows up in the first level of all of them. I had the same problem in every level and I have concluded that I cannot play this game anymore due to a bug. Still, I love this game and just to experience the game again was worth the money.
