In a society where having the last word means having power over others, a small party is disrupted by a gentleman who politely issues orders via one-way intercom.

Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Sep 7 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

A project that while rough, had a clear amount of thought put into it, and that’s more than other mystery/logic puzzle games can ask for, somehow! Along with the mystery elements, there being a turn-based RPG battle system to serve as tests of wit? In a unique setting! It feels like this was made for me…! If only. The achievements certainly make that difficult, as I had to do 3 separate playthroughs due to several missable achievements, causing the game to grab. But as a one of a kind game, I do feel it’s worth experiencing once.
At first glance, Last Word may appear to be a typical RPG that could be grouped with games made in RPG Maker. In reality, though, I think it truly shines when you give it a chance. Not only are the characters extremely fun, the game has an incredibly interesting 'battle' system where each duel is fought in-universe with words instead of actual combat. The mechanics for this system are interesting and unique. Meanwhile, the story was wonderful and the art was extremely charming. If you can get past the simplistic menu layouts, I think you'll legitimately find that this game is a hidden gem. I highly recommend it as it is easily one of my favorites on the Steam platform.

The game play is akin to pulling teeth. So enthralling in fact, I fell asleep with it on and now I have over 20 hours. & I had to change my resolution just to see it without straining my eyes. 2/5 stars
Last Word is a charming and genuinely unique RPG Maker experience that managed to surprise me — the discourse system, a kind of tug-of-war resource management game wrapped in a rock-paper-scissors tone mechanic, takes some getting used to but clicks into place in a satisfying way once it does. The real star is the writing and atmosphere: the cast of aristocratic guests, the sprawling gossip web you piece together, and the Cluedo-meets-Professor-Layton mystery all come together into something that feels polished and intentional well beyond what you'd expect from a small team. That said, the grind is real — with so few characters in the mansion, you'll be running the same discourse loops repeatedly to level up before gating bosses, and the investigation phase is mostly just exhausting every topic with every NPC until something unlocks. At around 6-8 hours to completion it never quite outstays its welcome, and for the right kind of patient, story-curious player it's absolutely worth picking up on sale.
