About
Last Summer is a 2D narrative adventure with retro aesthetics and metroidvania-inspired gameplay. You play as a kid with a big imagination, exploring a fragmented city where each district faces a different social or environmental issue. As you move through these areas, lifeless and grey spaces slowly turn into vibrant, colorful places full of life again.
Explore unique 90s-inspired neighborhoods, unlock special abilities like jumping, running, grappling, and strength, and overcome symbolic enemies. Each district includes a dungeon with its own mechanic, a new skill to learn, a boss fight, and a magical reward to help you progress.
The world is filled with secrets, side characters, and stories that reflect themes such as pollution, abandonment, social disconnection, and growing up. Your journey takes you across the city of Foultover’s four districts, culminating in the mysterious Night District, where a powerful industry hides the truth behind it all.
Last Summer is a single-player experience that blends exploration, storytelling, platforming, and emotional discovery with a nostalgic visual style.
