A modern strategy board game of building, trading, and resource management. Build settlements, gather resources, trade, and outsmart your opponents. Play solo or multiplayer in 1v1 and 4-player matches, real-time or daily games, and build and share custom maps.
Revenue comes from in-game items and microtransactions, which our price-based model doesn't estimate. The player count below is how many people own it, not what they spent.
About
BUILD. TRADE. EXPAND. OUTSMART YOUR OPPONENTS.
Landover is a modern digital strategy board game about building settlements, gathering resources, trading, exploring new lands, and competing for control of the board.
If you love classic tabletop strategy games like Catan, you'll feel right at home — but Landover adds new ways to play with real-time and daily multiplayer, 1v1 and 4-player games, solo play against unique bots, custom maps, military units, exploration, and more.
Gather resources and use them to build roads, settlements, cities, and more. Expand across the map, claim valuable territory, and turn your small settlement into a thriving civilization.
Every game creates new decisions. Collect the resources you need, trade with the bank, adapt to what the board gives you, and decide when to build, expand, explore, or hold your resources for the perfect opportunity.
Real-Time Multiplayer — Jump into live games against friends and other Landover players.
Daily Games — Take your turn whenever you're ready. Play multiple games at once and we'll let you know when it's your turn again.
1v1 & 4-Player Games — Go head-to-head or compete in classic four-player matches.
Solo vs. Bots — Practice your strategy against computer opponents with different skill levels, personalities, and play styles.
Create completely custom Landover maps, test them against bots, and then challenge your friends and the community to play them. Build something great and your creation could even become an official Landover map.
The board doesn't always reveal everything at the beginning. Explore new territory, discover valuable resources, and adapt your strategy as the world develops around you.
Prepare your civilization for barbarian attacks, strengthen your military, and use your forces to raid opponents and disrupt their plans.
Where should you settle? Which resources should you prioritize? When should you expand? Who is getting too powerful? And when should you change your entire strategy?
The board, your opponents, and the resources available make every game different.
Whether you're a longtime tabletop strategist or discovering strategy board games for the first time, there's always another game of Landover waiting.
Build your settlements. Trade your resources. Outsmart your opponents. Rule Landover.

What a wonderful year 2026 is — tons of boring AI slop everywhere
The new patch is not working. I tried to update the game. It did not work. I uninstalled the reinstalled game. Only message was to go to store to update game. I did. I removed the game completely. Then installed that game as a new game. It still didn't work.
Just like catan. The game has incredible potential. And being free is great. The problem is that multiple bug that either prevent me from moving on or give me a disadvantage. For example it didn't register my road being built but made it so no road could now be built there meaning I could now not place a settlement on the end.

Landover is a pretty simple strategy game at first, but I found there is more to think about once I got into the actual matches. The main idea is about building settlements, collecting resources and expanding across the map while trying to make the best use of what I have. It has a very clear board game feel to it, and I can definitely see the influence from games like Catan. I actually like how easy it is to understand the basic idea without the game throwing a huge amount of information at me. The resource system is where most of the decisions come from for me. I have to think about where I want to build, what resources I need and when it is worth trading instead of waiting for something better. Roads, settlements and cities all give me reasons to plan ahead rather than just spending everything as soon as I get it. Exploration also adds a little more uncertainty because the whole board is not necessarily available to me right away. It makes each match feel like I have to adjust my plans instead of following one exact strategy every time. I also like that there is more here than just basic settlement building. There are military units, barbarian attacks and the ability to raid, which gives the game another layer when I am trying to protect what I have built. I would not say the combat side completely changes the game, but it does give me something else to consider when deciding how I use my resources. The different ways to play are another strong point too, since I can play against bots, have a normal match or use the daily game system when I do not want to sit through a full match in one go. The map builder is probably the feature I find most interesting outside of the main game. Being able to create my own maps and test them gives the game some extra life beyond simply playing the standard setup. It is the sort of feature that could be really good for people who enjoy making their own challenges. At the same time, I think the game is still fairly basic in places. The presentation is colourful and clean enough, but it is not something I would play for the graphics. A lot of the enjoyment comes from the actual board and the decisions I am making. I do think Landover could use more depth as it grows. The core mechanics work well together, but after playing around with the main systems I can see how I might eventually want more variety in maps, buildings and strategic options. The free to play model is also a nice fit for this type of game because I can jump in without having to make a commitment first. For me, the biggest question is going to be how much the game expands over time, because the basic foundation is definitely there. Overall, I had a decent time with Landover. It is easy to pick up, the resource management gives me enough decisions to keep things interesting and the exploration and military systems stop it from being nothing more than a basic settlement builder. I would have liked a little more depth and variety in the core gameplay, but I think what is here works well for a smaller strategy board game. It is not something I would call a huge strategy experience, but it is an enjoyable one when I want something slower and more relaxed. Rating: 7.3/10
