Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Absolute god tier game. I love the concept of a city builder that take place on a single screen that slowly builds up, and this is the absolute best pixel art in any game like that. Aesthetics, building animations, environmental animations all contribute to make it look truly wondrous. Gameplay is ultra satisfying. Due to the limited building space, it's mostly about unlocking new buildings and then slowly replacing old buildings with newer and more efficient versions. The fun and satisfaction of the city slowly getting denser and denser is incredible, and by the end the little cities look spectacular. Every time you start a new game you get a different 'base' island to build on and they all look incredible, And then there's the 'Legendary mode' where you can build larger cities. Sublime aesthetics and satisfying gameplay progression. If the concept appeals to you the game is an absolute must have.
I've had this game wish listed for a while now and it finally went on sale -60% off! I ignored the negative reviews, it couldn't be that bad. OH boy though. Oh no no no no. This ain't it. It's such a beautiful looking game with no substance. The tutorial missions will FADE AWAY if you don't read them in time. That's a Big No in my book for casual game. THEN I restarted my game to see it again and it DIDN'T SHOW UP! If you don't have an option to toggle tutorials the default is to show it every time. Besides making a pretty city what's the point or the goal? It's built to have a "win" so how do I "win"? I'm already signed up to play for fun so if you add a win condition you have to explain it or at the minimum guide me. Most "skeleton" games can be fixed with mods or updates but this feels like "ribs" and no other part of the skeleton. I'm refunding it for my $5.99 (USD) and it is NOT worth the full price of $14.99 (USD)

LakeSide is nice cozy retropixel... well, lets be honest here, LakeSide is NOT a game. Its more like an art project or programming exercise. Good looking and not always working... But dont get me wrong here! You still can play this game and beat it quite easily. Relaxed, I would say. The issue is that more "complex" game mechanics just do not work and probaly will never be fixed. In everything else its quite pleasing art piece.
Lakeside is listed at $14.99 which is grossly overpriced. It is a very chill, limited, and at times even broken, city builder. You'll get a few hours of enjoyment out of it. It's about on par with any number of browser based games made in the early 2000s, think flash games from websites like armor games, kongregate, addictinggames.com etc. that era. In truth it should be listed at about $4.99. If you can get it on sale for a few bucks, it is definitely worth the buy. It's a charming experience that is visually stunning, but it's certainly not worth $15 or even $10. I am giving this a thumbs up, because for a few bucks, it is worthwhile, and that's around what I paid for it. Can't knock it for being overpriced. It is exactly what it says it is. I'd give it a 5/10 and barely recommend it. Not great, not bad. Nice art.
definitely don't waste your time. game is almost bare bones with a lot of fluff. get it on sale if you have to, maybe 2 or 3 dollars MAX.
Kurze Spielzeit, viel zu leicht, mäßige Umsetzung. Mit der netten Grafik und dem Gameplay wäre mehr möglich gewesen!
Pretty but quite slow, basic game loop is not very engaging.
The concept is quite novel, but the poor execution left me more frustrated. There are some mechanics that hurts the gameplay and performance. Some gameplay elements are not explained well.
There are a lot of things I like about this game, but I'm not recommending it because the randomized nature of unlocking buildings means that every run eventually hits a hard limit on growing your population. You don't have enough population to unlock new buildings, but you need to unlock new buildings to increase your population. Likewise, bonus estimates don't update based on what you've already built. So if you've got a building that gives +40% food bonus, new buildings that offer X food don't include the bonus. So it's very easy to forget what you're doing and minmax on accident, especially when buildings are not visually distinct enough to just look at your city and see what you have. Maybe these are intentional difficulty choices on behalf of the devs, but I find it frustrating.
its a very shallow game.
