Congratulations on graduating, young lady! You passed the interview! Welcome to our company! A bright future ahead of you!
Haha, just kidding. You're now locked in a psych ward, with all your money and memory lost, plus a shocking stitched wound across your belly. Part of your body has been stolen. You know it was Laira who did this. You just know.
Who is Laira? An ex-friend? A husband snatcher? A patient with kidney disease? A rising star in your industry? They don't matter anymore, 'cause she just became your worst enemy. Even if society collapses, public order dies out, and all moral causes and effects are overwritten, no one should ever be anyone’s vessel.
To hell with your friend, to hell with your forgiveness. Grab a knife, break out of this place. When you find her, you're gonna do exactly what she did to you.
Laira Cut Me Open
Rating: 7/10 – Good Laira Cut Me Open is a short visual novel of sorts with some very simple puzzles. Gameplay itself, while limited works well to serve the real meat of the game: it’s story. And the story is pretty Good, having me hooked from beginning to end, making me constantly guess what was going on or what would happen next the whole way through. I quite enjoyed its twists and unexpected turns. On top of that is a very charming art style that, in its simplicity, does to an extend serve the story quite well. And while some animations did look a little off at times Laira Cut Me Open is very nice to look at. What does hold it back a little is the sound design which, in my opinion, is a little too minimalistic and a bit more could have probably enhanced the game quite a bit. Not to say that it ruins the game, overall the sound design is Fine. In regard to the gameplay, as mentioned, it is short and sweet with somewhat minimalistic gameplay and relatively easy puzzles. But there is one issue and that is that, at times, it can be a bit difficult to tell where exactly to press, or where exactly to go to continue, in what order to do things, etc. Again, it’s nothing that ruins the game in any way and is mostly just a minor annoyance at times. Overall, Laira Cut Me Open is a short and dramatic game with nice visuals and a very Good story. And the best part? It’s totally free for you to try out, you literally lose nothing by playing this game. So play it now. Right now.

It is a little on the dark side but I like the game and hooked by it. As a coder I am sad about everything done to coders even their hairline is stolen from them. I would really like to see the dark ending instead of a forced shutdown. As a free game this game deserves your time.
Interesting plot twist, very dark and shocking. Love the chapter select checkpoints added for replaying choices.
This is a very cool game! It's not really my type of game as I can often have a hard time paying attention to and understanding stories in games, but I enjoyed the story nonetheless and how it took advantage of the medium. The visuals and soundtrack were pretty nice, and while the gameplay wasn't anything spectacular it doesn't really matter as it clearly isn't the focus and it gets the job done. There were some issues with clicking on things not working as I think it should, both with dialogue and interactables, and while the chapter selection is nice there is no real indication in-game what chapter you are currently on. Overall, recommended!
I surprisingly stumbled upon this game by a random recommendation on YT shorts. Liked the premise and gave it a shot, even if I rarely actually play something I found this way. And I wasn't disappointed. I didn't expect at all to get so invested into the story and what it wanted to convey. This game is REALLY heavy, I could feel my heart pounding at the build up of some of the scenes, so it's definitely not for people who get disturbed by sensitive topics - despite the importance of the message. Which I don't think is a negative at all, I find that directly facing difficult topics is often times a way better approach, rather than walking around them. Still, seeing all the puzzle pieces click together was hugely satisfying and I find this game to be an underrated gem, that's also - completely free, so there's literally no reason not to try it out. Only negative I can think of, is that the translation to English, still needs some work, as sometimes (very rarely), it was hard to understand what some characters meant. (Unless it's been patched out, it's been around a month+ since I played) Hope to see more from the studio!
Super morbid. Super psychotic. Super WTF!?
2D games, can be equally entertaining, as 3D triple A. Great job, Devs. Gave me AnotherWorld, and OldBoy vibes.
this is a master piece
