Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Sep 4 → 0.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I loved this game soooo much when I was a kid, and when I found it for under $10, I was thrilled. Hopefully I will still have some fun with it, but it's clear from my first few hours trying that this was a cheap attempt by the company to squeeze more dollars out of an old product, without doing absolutely anything to prep it for a modern audience. HUGE example #1. When you attempt to play KQ4, it makes you do a security check by writing a certain word from the KQ4 manual. Which you presumably haven't had in 35 years, if ever...you just bought it on Steam. Did they even LOOK at their product before they put it out there?!? Unreal that something that gaping slipped through. You literally can't play one of the worlds in the package deal. Example #2. I played for a while, and went to save the game. It wants me to identify a folder on my computer to save it to. Um.... There are some very basic things they could have done to update the game so that it's playable on a modern computer. I don't care about the graphics, it's an old game. But it has to be playable. I will try it a little bit more, but may just ask for a refund. Only try this if you are a super diehard fan and willing to put up with a lot of hassles to play your old favorite.

it is very fun and classic! also rather difficult, but I am new to the King's Quest games. if you want to experience classic adventure games, this is he easiest way.
I grew up on these games, and getting to play them again is a delight. I cannot stress enough how much using ScummVM to run them instead of DOSbox improves the experience, though, especially as a user of an alternate keyboard layout.
Brings back great childhood memories; I truly wish they would remake them all again but this is still awesome.
Every single one of these kicks you out during play, you can get back in and continue. But number 4 will not let you get past a certain point at all. For me it was the diamond mine.
I played the entire series (except KQ8) after 35 years. Apart from the technology, first games were basically designed to keep you playing for hours to save puzzle. So the pace is not bearable I think. However, I strongly recommend playing these games as they are historically important, yet entertaining. My all time favorite is Hero's Quest series as I grew up playing them, but I also recently played almost all Sierra's Quest series. Still storytelling and game play is great of all of them in Quest for Glory... As in KQ manual says, it is like visiting a museum. So play and enhance your imagination. Play with your kid to enhance theirs as well.
