The gameplay is very fluid and smooth and every single chapter has at least one thing gameplay wise that separates it from the rest. The story was great, i love that you can interrupt people mid conversation like “shut up” or “♥♥♥♥ you”, the art is very very good, and the animations are absolutely beautiful. I feel like there’s so much ♥♥♥♥ to talk about with this game but i really dont wanna spoil a single thing and you should just play it cuz it’s only 4 hours long. I beat it in one single sitting cuz i was having such a blast I will say though, you will get stuck on some parts just because of its sheer difficulty (ESPECIALLY if you play hard mode) and it does definitely ruin the pacing but i feel like the fun of the game is perfecting every section using a route that you came up with through that process of trial and error, and then come up with a long ass string of moves rolling under people, deflecting bullets, throwing smoke grenades, and slashing people up that didnt even know you were there. Once you actually execute your own route that you came up with after tons of attempts it feels amazing. Even though i love this game, getting that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ gold medal achievement was ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ HORRIBLE and i stg it accounted for over half of my total playtime on the game EASILY. The hard mode achievement was also absolutely horrible. Also they overuse colored text in this game a bit too much.

Katana ZERO — пречудова гра. Одразу впадає в очі натхнення Hotline Miami, проте, попри очевидну спорідненість, вона залишається на щабель нижче за свого «духовного попередника». Це не мінус і не плюс — просто констатація факту: гра самобутня і будує власну ідентичність через свій похмурий неонуарний сетінг. Складність тут відчутна навіть на звичайному рівні: один влучний удар — і персонаж гине, тому кожен рух доводиться прораховувати заздалегідь. Головна родзинка — уповільнення часу (bullet-time), яке дозволяє ухилятися від куль, кидати предмети у ворогів і вибудовувати ефектні ланцюжки вбивств. Рівні можна переграти скільки завгодно разів перед тим, як рухатися далі сюжетом, — це заохочує відточувати проходження до майже балетної точності. Особисто для мене це той випадок, коли гра достатньо хороша, щоб пройти й отримати задоволення, але не настільки, щоб ганятися за всіма досягненнями. Раджу проходити гру на Steam Deck — формат чудово підходить під динаміку та темп цієї гри. 7/10
