A simple and fun survivor game. If you like the genre and look of the game, it is well worth the 5 bucks. It is fluid to play and nicely polished. The pixel graphics are pleasantly and confidently executed. The twist to the survivor premise is pretty well executed also - you can interact a great deal with the environment, using nearby objects as weapons (though sometimes picking up a weapon can be a bad idea later in a level) and using obstacles to outmaneuver the waves of thugs. The game is pretty easy (I'm 14 hours in and have beaten the highest difficulty on most of the levels after a few tries) - you can build up meta buffs between attempts but each level and difficulty may take a few attempts. The bosses aren't a challenge - if you can survive the timer to summon them, you WILL beat the boss. After 14 hours I obviously haven't plumbed the depths of the game but it seems to not be that deep compared to Vampire Survivors, which to me is not a downside (VS is kind of cluttered now tbh). You can unlock lots of cool moves and more interactions with the environment as you play. When you first start learning the game and also at the start of each run, you will feel kind of weak and if you draw moves with "bad" hitboxes you will have a rough time - this is really the only significant challenging puzzle in game. Use the environment as much as possible during this phase as you build up your set of moves and improve them. Even the "bad" moves will work great late game if you upgrade them enough and put them in the proper combo order. Improving your attack range greatly mitigates the bad hitboxes. In the trendy genre of brain-dead dopamine games to play while watching youtube, this is a worthy entry with slightly more gameplay depth than some. It is fun and correctly priced.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

beautiful pixel art visuals with many animations, nice combos and progression system. For the current price tag - steal
Great game for the price especially when it goes on sale. Runs well on my $500 Dell laptop.
Its fun take on the vampire survivors formula. 100% it was probably a mistake but definitely worth playing and beating at least once.
Janky and difficult to judge distance for strikes.
Woman comes home complaining, complaining, complaining. Playing Karate survivor. She says "what's that stupid game you're playing?", I replied "who's to say it's stupid, I'm playing it." She says it's like "that vampire game". She sits on couch and sighs, repeatedly. I'm the zen master, absorbed in the game. Hours later, she goes to bed in a huff, but Still playing at 11pm. Happy. Without guilt. Thanks for giving me my life back - if only for a night. ;-)
Karate Survivor is a bullet heaven where the pitch is 80's action movie brawling with improvised weapons and environmental violence. And the game delivers with real conviction right up until you notice how few decisions it actually permits you to make. The animation deserves its praise first. Every punch, kick, and somersault is drawn with a level of detail that seems almost unreasonable for a 2D game at this price, and there are dozens of moves, all of them animated by someone who evidently cared. Environmental combat is equally strong. Slamming an enemy's face with a flying microwave and shoving a mop handle into approaching goons delivers as much satisfaction as a clean roundhouse kick, which is a genuinely impressive achievement. Positioning and timing carry real tactical weight, and when a run comes together you get to vault a table, throw a bottle at one thug, cave in a group's faces with a refrigerator door, and finish the last one with a tiger kick. Very few games let you choreograph a sequence that stupid and that satisfying. Now for the part where the design team wanders off. There is one character. That is not the starting roster, that IS the entire roster. Your opening move gets assigned to you by the game rather than chosen by you, which is a bold thing to withhold in a genre whose entire appeal is deciding what kind of monster you want to become this run. Everything offered afterward tends to complement whatever the game unilaterally decided you were, so those hundred-odd unlockable techniques quietly resolve into maybe four or five combos anyone would seriously run. You are not building anything. You're just following a script. The RNG makes this considerably worse. Rerolls are miserly and cannot be purchased with any currency, which means a run that refuses to offer you anything useful stays that way, and you get to sit through the rest of it knowing exactly how it ends. Someone made a game that hinges entirely on the draw and then decided the player should have almost no influence over the draw. Bold. For what it's worth, one can sum it up as a flashy take on the formula with no build variety whatsoever. Turns out the excellent animation was doing a lot of heavy lifting. But I'm still a sucker for Jackie Chan movies. A hundred moves, one build. Barely passing. 5/10
Well worth the full price. I hope they make a sequel. Takes a little bit to understand how to survive and after that and you have invested into some upgrades you start to thrive and make your way through the harder difficulties. One of the best and most thematically stylized roguelikes I've played.
really interesting concept for a survivorlike. it's a bit too slow to start but once you ramp up it becomes very fun. if you give this a try, keep in mind that it's gonna be brutal until you start unlocking more things
