This is an adventure platformer with narrative which certainly looks like Thomas Was Alone. The game plays well on keyboard (and mouse). The game it-self is a bit experimental/hardcore on how Broken Circle moves thru the adventure. Levels are well design. The story is right on spot and the music is well done. Overall, a good game experience around the themes of friendships and existentialism.
Skip for moments that the game is fundamentally broken, play mechanics suspect at times, dialogue tortuous and often turgid, and some achievements unavailable without cheating--i.e. Mushroom Hunter requires only the 38 obtainable, but doesn't reward, so some users have hacked their files and therefore their accounts, (unlike other versions, say X-Box, which work fine)--so you can't complete the game, so you might almost find this fun or casual otherwise. Then again, between never fixed, nightmare flaws and Circle's supra-hypocritical ability to find blame in everyone but itself (except in outrageous pity parties), this game goes to hell in a flash. As if the bounce between Circle's abusive, manipulative lying and incessant self-adulation wasn't bad enough, this textbook DSM-psychotic's two-faced co-dependency, as a lifelong try hard desperately hoping to find happiness from without rather than within even when told it will never happen, never bothers even trying to learn. So on with the cycle of abuse (or simply use) of Circle, just as Circle does to everyone else? Exactly. Can the bullying crap: you're all guilty. Anyway, from the pretentious Balloon Bush's rambling blather to the dialogue's sexual undertones or euphemisms of the purposefully... erm, "grassy," provocative landscape, this game is awash in a juvenile miasma of sour sauce and pubescent balderdash. Perhaps if Circle had the foresight to remove the plank from it's craw, it could stop griping for a moment long enough to start thinking before it opened its gaping mouth. Honestly, as egomaniacal, controlling, and apparently almost austistic (on the spectrum anyway) but only by narcissism and supreme indifference--that which strains the view that good and evil are concepts of a deranged mind desparately attempting to qualify a meaningless existence--but actually a vile A-type that people desire to hurt themselves just to get away from... I've got zero sympathy. Oh, and they still need to fix this maggot infested rat feces too. Along with ET for Atari and Superman 64, releasing unobtainable achievements is dirty $#@& worthy of the Vault of Unforgivable Sins pile. I've tried dozens of times under multiple conditions /compatibilities to get Mushroom Hunter to work. It's impossible without hex editing or the like. Cheaters or [thieves]: pick one, Lovable Hat Cult and Nakana.io, this is you.

It stopped saving after part 6 or so. So that's as far as I got. I felt like it should've been much shorter anyway like Shel Silverstein's "The Missing Piece" (what this was based on).
I ended up playing this game at the most perfect time in my life. I originally 100%'d on Switch and had to pick it up here and do the same again. When I first played, I happen to have been going through a divorce and BOY did this game hit even harder because of where I was at. This game is AWESOME. Couldn't recommend enough!
