Jeon Woo chi is a pretty interesting action RPG because it takes the old Korean character of Jeon Woo chi and puts him into a dark fantasy adventure set during the Joseon Dynasty. The story has him fighting against creatures that have escaped from paintings, while a sorcerer called Yuyahheukgun is behind the whole mess. I really like the idea of entering paintings and getting pulled into another world because it gives the game something that makes it stand out from a normal fantasy action game. The combat is probably the strongest part for me. I can use parries and perfect dodges to deal with enemies, and the game also gives Jeon Woo chi different Taoist abilities. The illusion ability can make enemies attack each other, the clone technique creates another version of Jeon Woo chi to help in battle and the instant step lets me dodge an attack before quickly striking back. I like having these abilities because they make the combat feel more active than just attacking and blocking until something dies. The really interesting part is the way the game switches between 3D and 2D combat. During certain fights I can enter the painting itself and move into side scrolling sections, then return to the normal 3D world. I think that is easily the most memorable idea here. It is not something I see in every action RPG and it gives some of the fights a different rhythm. The game also has puzzles scattered around the maps, so I am not constantly fighting from start to finish. There are some things that hold it back though. The current version is still Early Access, and I could definitely feel that it is not a fully finished experience yet. At the moment there are four maps, 11 types of regular enemies and two boss types, while more story areas, another boss, a shop, expanded skills and companions are planned for the full version. That means I am judging what is actually available now rather than what the game might become later. I also think the combat could use more enemy and boss variety because the current selection can start feeling familiar after enough time. I also found the language support pretty limiting. Korean is the only supported language for the interface, audio and subtitles, so I would need to be comfortable with Korean to get the full story experience. The game does have controller support and the developers recommend playing with a controller, which I think suits the combat much better. I also noticed that the developer has disclosed using generative AI for the sound effects and soundtrack. That does not ruin the game for me, but it is worth knowing when looking at the overall presentation. Overall, I think Jeon Woo chi has a really good foundation. The Joseon setting, Taoist abilities and painting world give it a proper identity, and I especially enjoyed the idea of moving between 3D and 2D during the adventure. The current version is still fairly limited and there is clearly more work needed on the content and variety, but the core combat is enjoyable enough that I wanted to keep playing. For a free Early Access game, I think there is enough here to make it worth trying, and I am interested to see how much stronger the full version becomes once the planned content is added. Rating: 7.4/10

A news article recommend this. It looks promising but sadly it won't work for me, since the fps are terrible (probably because of my old nvidia 1050TI gpu), maybe some day tho :)

컴퓨터 사양이 최소 사양보다 높은데, 렉이 심하게 걸립니다. 그래픽 설정도 없고 키설정도 바꿀 수가 없습니다. 도저히 플레이할 수가 없어요
