About
New York City. July 2063. Four workers have gone missing somewhere in the Brooklyn Understructure, a maze of sewage pipes and abandoned passageways deep below the city streets. Genevieve Marconi, a mercenary with a taste for high-risk jobs, is hired to uncover their whereabouts.
As Genevieve, you'll have to fight your way through a horde of drones. Shoot them with energy blasts or smash them to pieces with your broom. Use volleys of missiles and powerful super moves to turn the tide of battle.
This is a spectacle fighter / shooter hybrid. There's third-person shooting and a fast-paced melee system, plus some extra metered abilities that you can use for big momentum swings in fights. Jenny's got a fairly complex combat toolset, and we hope you'll enjoy learning to master it.
Use Jenny's broom to navigate the treacherous chambers of the Understructure. The game has platforming. It's not too intense, but we wanted to put some in to show off the improvements we've made to our character movement (and also, who doesn't like airdashing over bottomless pits?)
Earn a high score by smashing drones with grace and swiftness. You can spend cash earned during your mission on upgrades and new abilities. Honestly, what else do you want to know? We've put a score system in all our games and this one's no exception. Do long combos to raise your score. Spend your score on new abilities (like special melee attacks, super moves, etc) so you can do sicker combos. You'll also be able to replay the game with your unlocks intact after beating it once.
This game isn't expensive. It's a few hours long, and it's got significant replayability via its difficulty options, scoring system, etc. This is a short game. Please buy this if you like short games.

The cult classic Dreamcast import your meta tells you not to worry about.
Great fighting game, but not alot of music, kinda barren in some parts, and the platforming is kinda mid - overall 7/10, having fun with it
Once again wish there was a middle option for reviews, but anyway... The platforming is weighted to the point it's annoying and the dash is not very good considering the amount of thrusters on the player charater. (Come on, I'm a witch and my broom doesn't fly, or even have good mobility TOT) With the borderline Cyber Punk borg look of the character, it's a bit lackluster for them to have what feels like so much gravity on them and not have a AoE when you fall from heights or do a groundslam. For the combat; The "Missiles" don't explode and do ehh damage but you can shoot them out whenever you want and have cool visuals with the magic circles. I keep getting counter windows from dashing but the counter-swing is locked to the direction you're facing, meaning it misses like 90% of the time. The gun is full auto and does decent damage with infinite ammo, reminds me of DMC;2, just like DMC I try to avoid using it as it isn't fun or engaging to whittle down eneimes while playing keep away. The gun also auto aims to anything in the rectangle even with aim assist at 0 (which it is set to by default), meaning it can aim at pick-ups insead of the enemy you're aiming at. It also means pick-ups on shelves require you to jump and shotgun or air melee because it aims for center mass and hits the underside of the shelf it's on. Nit pick but still worth mentioning. Upgrades don't feel rewarding, spamming the invincible and AoE supers to clear everything is what I ended up doing, because the base melee is the stock standard three swings and reset, doesn't feel very fun and the charged melees don't do enough damage for how long it charges, it also only stuns one enemy from what I can tell. I'd prefer if I had a light and heavy button or a longer melee string. The Upgrade to shoot in the recovery frames of the melee also has bad aim, but in point-blank groups it's op for hard knock downs. Voicelines for slam melee got a bit old, but I like do love the voice acting, the taunts are great. The concept is good and I could see myself loving this, but the game feels to jank for me to bother finishing, for seven dollars I don't really have any ground to hate so I do not want a refund, it was worth the money I paid, it just wasn't for me.

Soft recommend on a cool game that I wish I liked a lot more :( Strongest points are the graphics, environment design, and writing - it's a grimy cyberpunk story with secrets beneath the sewers of Manhattan. It's dirty fun and the experience on Normal difficulty was about 2 1/2 hours to the complete screen. Others complain about platforming but I think it's... fine. Some parts can be a bit frustrating but it's charming and, genuinely, I believe it adds to the experience. The combat is the toughest part to chew on unfortunately. Upgrades are fun but can sometimes feel insubstantial; lots of unlocked chain attacks will get interrupted by enemy attacks and it usually means that trying to look cool by smashing into a big crowd can just get you pulverized. Upgrades to the missile capacity may seem ideal for extra chances to regen your shield, but missile refills only come from crates stored throughout the levels. Circling an empty boss arena with no ways to refill my max missile capacity felt like I was missing another option, and it felt not great to resort to long-distance strafing to keep from dying. That being said, I still feel compelled to try out an NG+ with the upgrades I have, hopefully clear out the rest and see some more cool attacks (and hear some more fun voice lines from Jenny). It's a short game and it's fun. I feel like it could be really great with some changes but it's hard to say if that would break the game as-intended. It's unfortunate that my desire to master the moveset feels like it will be hampered by poor tracking on interruptible attacks. Maybe I'll feel differently with some more time and practice. Depending on your mileage you may wanna just experience the story on Easy; there's no accounting for platforming skill however.
This is an awesome little game that feels straight out of the 6th gen golden age. Lots of action with great pacing and no dull sections at all. The gameplay reminds me a lot of classic Ratchet & Clank, with a bit of Metal Gear Rising mixed in. The combat design is the real star of the show. Jenny's moveset provides the player with the perfect amount of options, the stamina system keeps her grounded, and the varied enemy attacks ensure that combat is reactive and all of her moves are useful. I also enjoyed the platforming sections and appreciate that they didn't overstay their welcome. A really great mix of ideas and a well-rounded game overall. 100% recommended.
Still putting time into this. Really stylish. Feels really good after tweaking the camera sens. I kept going ooh when I pressed a button during the recovery animation of another move and something new happened. Good game to go ooooh too. Had the first boss fight with the bilingual cop robot and went whoa. Love that guy. Hate that guy.
Great gameplay, was very fun but my experience was affected by a combat bug. I dodge forward then shoot to dodge backwards then I get stuck hovering over the floor. As for the parkour, it was just so hard to do. Doing those timed parkour on mouse and keyboard was not so fun. All in all I loved the game and the final boss was very fun, I hope for a sequel ♡
Remember action games on PC back during the PS1/PS2 era? It's kinda like that but way more forgiving. A game that doesn't pull its punches but gives you infinite retries to compensate for the sometimes intense difficulty. It'll test you on old school crowd control, rapid fire platforming with no safety nets, and a combo system that's just complex enough to stay interesting for the game's runtime. One thing to note: While I can see that improvements to controller support have been made, this game is still best played with mouse and keyboard. It may seem strange but some of the later platforming challenges require turning at speeds that just aren't practical with a controller. But that aside, I had a blast, with just the right amount of high octane trills with moments of downtime to recover.
so theres a perfectly rational solution to the platforming here which astonishes me no one caught, please just make sure the jump shot firing gets centered at the camera level and every platforming section is fixed since inputting a jumpshot has much less starting lag then the shooting. Otherwise wonderful game thus far; by god whoever decided to add RC-esque dash cancels deserves a Big Kiss On The Cheek. Hope this one makes it big yall; i need to see what you all do with more resources if this is what you pulled out in The Current Economy.
Great gameplay but brought down a bit by inconsistent platforming. Im playing on normal and only died once so far due to said platforming. Edit : Okay I cant take this anymore, this is supposed to be a hack and slash but at this point in the game I spent 10% time fighting, and 90% wanting to quit due to the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ platforming, I hit my limit.
