It's clear that Isle of Reveries was developed with a ton of passion and care. The level designs are very well thought out, and the overworld has a ton of character. This game is a ton of fun to play. Worth the price and worth the time spent if you enjoy Zelda-inspired puzzles.
Isle of Reveries is a solid indie game in the style of link's awakening and the oracle games. The game is more challenging compared to the average 2D Zelda, which feels appropriate for any fan of these types of games. The main issues that the game had was mostly related to needing more polish as well as some bugs; however the developer was quick to fix a lot of it as it was being reports. I would easily recommend this game to any fan of classic top down Zelda.

An excellent homage to the old school 2D Zelda games. Focus is on puzzles not combat. Difficulty is just right.
absolutely scratching the top-down 2D zelda itch!
im using gyro controls!
Thoroughly enjoyed this one. It has some spots that could use smoothing (the jumps are a bit fiddly, cloned object positioning can get a bit glitchy, it's hard to tell what you're looking at in the bestiary, etc), but the core experience is fantastic, delivering exactly what the trailer promises. If you like gameboy-era zelda, definitely give this a go.
This was such a lovely game. It made me remember the time when I was playing Oracle of Ages many years ago on the GBC. It has an excellent aesthetic, charming characters, excellent dungeons and lots of puzzles that make you pause and consider how to solve them. The world is vibrant and you are always wondering how to go to the next place and what tool do I need to do so. More than once I was surprised by the items you get. If anything I would have liked to know the actual names of some enemies on the bestiary. But other than that I am glad to have backed this game. It was certainly worth the wait.
Fully recommend to any Link’s Awakening fan. Cool equipment, strong dungeon design, tight labyrinth on an overworld loaded with interest.
Backed this one, I have not yet finished, but its been a fun experience so far! Great puzzles, interesting characters, fun to explore!
The puzzles and mechanics of the game are super cool and chill, the puzzles are just difficult enough and I was constantly coming across things the made me think "Oooo I wonder how I will be able to get that later on". It also has a beautiful art style, music, and story. My partner even mentioned that they got a feeling of nostalgia watching me play even though they had never played the game themselves. Overall super fun!!
