It's definitely a more atmospheric kind of horror game. No monsters that chase you, no jumpscares, no hazards, etc. It's just you, your camera, and a series of liminal spaces for you to explore and interact with. Each one definitely has a unique environment to it.
Pokemon Snap with ghost orbs. Vibes are 10/10, soundtrack 10/10. Love love love...

ENGLISH Interior Worlds takes the concept of the Backrooms to the next level, cementing itself, in my opinion, as one of the absolute best titles in the genre. The game doesn't rely on a traditional plot; instead, it bets everything on exploration and atmosphere, turning out to be a true love letter to analog horror fans. Your goal is to travel through various environments and capture your surroundings using an analog camera. It is only by developing your shots at specific points, in fact, that you begin to notice strange auras or unsettling silhouettes lingering in the distance. A note on controls: Although the developers recommend using a mouse and keyboard for the optimal experience (a choice I completely agree with), I wanted to test it out with a gamepad as well. The game remains absolutely enjoyable, even if you occasionally have to make small compromises and reach for the keyboard. What makes this game special: Psychological discomfort: Everyday objects like televisions or mannequins, placed in unusual ways or in locations where they absolutely shouldn't be, manage to convey a deep and constant sense of dread. Sound design: The audio is deeply unsettling. The inclusion of vintage commercials echoing through old CRT television sets amplifies the tension, one detail at a time. Pure exploration: It is the perfect title for anyone who loves getting lost in liminal spaces and hunting down visual anomalies. Immersive graphics: The retro, low-poly aesthetic makes the immersion even more eerie. It's clear that the developer, Sodaraptor, truly masters this craft: the visual quality is simple yet remarkable, built so well that it perfectly captures that uncanny valley effect that leaves the player completely destabilized. In conclusion I have played numerous games based on this theme, but I had never come across a product so well-crafted and solid. I absolutely recommend it if you love these kinds of experiences and I can already tell you to look out for some really neat little extras and Easter eggs along the way. Furthermore, if you find this style fascinating, I highly suggest checking out Sodaraptor's other projects, such as the excellent Late Homework.
One of the most beautiful games I have ever played
Gave me anxiety 10/10
Consiglio
very good liminal game with simple yet engaging mechanics that promote exploration. I am surprised that this one was able to slip under my radar for so long as it is surely one of the best examples of its genre. check this one out - its worth your time and money.
I absolutely adore this game, the screen at the start is the ultimate guideline. Playing this in the dark alone late at night is an experience to rival some of my favorite games, and ultimately the atmosphere of this game is unmatched, everything feels so uncomfortable like you are something that doesn't belong, it'll have you looking over your shoulder with every little noise outside your house. The level design also feels super intuitive as it rewards you for wanting to explore these vast empty areas in so many ways, with many little secrets and easter eggs. I cannot recommend this game enough
