I am always looking for top down shooters and Inspire peaked my interest during the Autumn sale. I am not super into the game so far and will continue to give it a shot, but for now I would not recommended it at full price but can say on sale it has enough fun to give it a shot. Pros -Fun movement abilities. -Interesting active abilities. -Interesting vertical movement with jet pack -Easy to pick up Cons -Guns feel bland. I have use 5 at this point and only the shotgun feels fun -Modifications are unclear, adding some numerical values would be nice - Very hard to see attacks, I am colorblind and am facing death because I just cant see attacks. - Map and quest tracking is poor - Doesnt do a good job of highlighting shop locations etc.
I have been following this game for a while now, and I have to say for a solo developed game this one is really cool! I love the atmosphere and the music is amazing. I found out the dev is actually a music producer, which really shows. I have only explored a small bit of the world yet, but I wanted to already give my thoughts on this hidden gem!

Llevo esperando este juego por mas de 4 años, ha sido toda una experiencia, y cada vez va mejorando mucho mas. Gracias Nick por este tremendo trabajo!. Love u!
Fun little game, It's easy to pickup and easy to enjoy. I like that there's not a whole lot of handholding and the game lets you try things at your own pace. I only played about half an hour at the time of writing this but I've already encountered a wide variety of enemies and heard some banging tunes whilst killing them. Not much more I could ask for, for the end of the week. Will probably write a full review once I've finished the game. Gonna share this one with my friends
It's really cool to see how this game has progressed, I've played a few of the playtests throughout the past few years and the game has become something really cool in my opinion. Pros: Great diversity of the enemies, tight shooter action, different biomes and just a lot of cool places to visit. The game has a semi openworld which is constantly randomized and changes depending on the seasons which is a really cool feature. Cons Collisions are sometimes a little bit off. Also in the city the player gets sometimes obscured by the bigger. buildings. I had one little hiccup where my player became temporarily invisible but that sorted itself out after i left the level. So far a really exciting game to play!
paar kleine bugs aber sonst voll in ordnung
The art style is just gorgeous! the guns are fun to use and I LOVE the music! I really like that it's not as dark as other Topdown ARPGS, which is usually a reason for me not to play these kind of games. But this one is a little bit friendlier in terms of presentation. The abilities are also really cool, being locked to 3 abilities makes you pick and choose the right ones for the right moments, which adds a nice layer of strategy. I recommend!
I keep dying to this huge spider! But this might be a skill issue lol. Either way, this is a hell of fun, even though i suck at it. I can see the dev put a lot of love into this game. Form the music to the world design, the game has a really fun charm. I can't wait to continue tomorrow. I will get that freaking spider.
Really cool game so far, I've only done the prologue but already got a grip for some of the mechanics like the jetpack and the shooting. The shooting is super fun and impactful, the guns really hit hard. I also like the mechanic where you can alter the guns, which is kind of neat. The world looks cool so far, but I'll have to do a bit more exploring in the next few days to really give a full review.
I'm a sucker for Top-down games and this one is no exception. What I really like about INSPIRE so far is the freedom it gives you, after a few minutes of introduction quests you basically get one main quest and it's up to you how you complete it. I love that! Performance is also super smooth, which is always a question with games nowadays. It's not the hardest game but it is giving me a challenge. I would love to see full controller support in the future, it does the job once you get past the main menu, but would love it if it would work flawlessly.
